That we only stayed one night and had to leave.

Angela, Lee and family were friendly and welcoming. The location is beautiful, the accommodation excellent. Comfortable and very clean with all the necessary appliances. Sunrise was magnificent. Angela also provided therapeutic massage for my wife at a very reasonable price. We are already planning our return for a longer stay to further explore this beautiful region. Lee suggested the Schapper Rock Restaurant in the local village which we would also highly recommend.

With room comfortably for 4 people in 2 bedrooms, I only wish I could have teleported my friends to share this piece of paradise with me. I sound like a commercial 😀

Literally everything!! The place, the location, the host, the amenities, the property, the privacy, the hiking trail to the water,… I can go on and on. This property is way more than meets the eye. I needed more time than only one night!! Hopefully I’ll make it back soon. And you can even get massage therapy for an extra fee while you’re there 🤯 I thought I was going to get there, chill out and then dive the next day. After meeting your host, you’ll be full of ideas of how to spend your time. I dropped my stuff, walked to the water, drove to the local beach and then hiked the Whale Bay trail to a secluded and safe spot by the water to watch the sunset. Wow 🥰

The two bedroom self contained unit was tucked away in a pleasant, quiet location, attached to the owners property. It is a safe private area, among the hilltops and country lifestyle. 5 minute drive to the Tutukaka fishing wharf and a 20 minute drive to Whangarei. The home has everything you need, including a BBQ area and the sound of nature at your feet.

Friendly host. Lovely wee granny flat / apartment attached to main house. Had everything you needed and was super clean, comfortable and had yummy products! They honestly care about this little gem and it shows. Great little walk to the private beach.

Great location in the middle of some of the best beaches. Very comfortable bed with lovely linen. Nice selection of teas and coffee, and lovely shower products. Was a relaxing spot as a couple.

Angela was a generous host. Thoughtful with every detail. The property was like new - immaculately clean, warm and private. Appreciated the coffee pod machine and the personal attention of an essential oil inhalation for a cold. Fabulous walks in the area.

Immaculate apartment and great location just above Tutukaka. Perfect as a base for the surf beaches as well as the marina. Leave plenty of time to explore the bay.

Nothing really. Driveway to the house against the ledge might be a little narrow for a larger vehicle.

Beautiful location. Very friendly and accomodating host with a lovely dog. Location is very convenient as it's close to Tutukaka for my diving activities. There is a lovely trail to a hidden cove with amazing sea views.

oh very minor - maybe mini butters and jams?! Although - anything you need, Angela is happy to provide (I guess within reason!) - but she provided us with butter when we asked for it :)

Angela is so lovely, friendly and helpful. The accommodation is great. Everything smells so good and the place was spotless. Very comfy bed with great quality linen. They've thought of everything really - great coffee machine, lovely amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body lotion. Great quality kitchenware and a fabulous bathroom! The private beach just a short walk down the hill is the real icing on the cake - just gorgeous. Also, the accommodation is a 5 min drive to the restaurants in Tutukaka, and six mins drive to the stunning Matapouri. We really hope to come back here because one night was definitely not enough!
