GermanyUpon arriving we were given an old dirty room with mold in the shower. We asked for another room and were offered one, which was not yet finished by housekeeping. The room was also dirty and had mold however less severe. Staff did not reconize level of dirtiness appropriately.

There was no much choice in Franz Josef when we booked. We found the Scenic to be over-priced and over-rated for the quality. Perhaps it’s a matter of supply & demand. Our room was fine. The double bed was small. There was an odd odor in the hallways; slightly less obvious in the room. We did not use any of the amenities or facilities.

AustraliaThis hotel is stuck back in the 90s. No air conditioning in the rooms, or any opening windows with flyscreen. This is made 10x worse as the bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan (appears to just have a passive vent) and so when you showe the whole bathroom and you extension the whole room itself becomes incredibly hot and HUMID. Was a very uncomfortable night with only option being a (very LOUD) floor fan. Staff were nice enough and linen was clean. But floors were grotty old and stained carpet. We wore flip flops the whole time as we felt disgusted to walk on it Barefoot. Bathrooms and fixtures also incredibly dated. Cheap bar soap instead of the modern standards such as handwash. No shower screen door, so the whole bathroom gets quite wet + pair this with the dirty carpet made for very unpleasant dirty footprints throughout the bathroom tiles.
Excellent central location, and spacious room, but that's where the positives end.

The hotel is in an incredible location and the view from our room was amazing. The hotel had good facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, spacious and well presented with very nice toiletries. I wish that we were able to stay another day but we had such a tight schedule that this was not possible. I hope to return sometime soon.

IrelandRoom was dated, floor looked like it had not been vacuumed, found dead bugs, stones at back entrance to room, mesh curtains was badly stained and yellow. Bed was uncomfortable with a big lump in the middle. Dust all over and an old fridge that made intermittent noise through out the night. Cost over $300NZD for the night. Expected more!!
