Nothing to dislike. Laundry facilities in the unit would be my only thing for multi night stays (although there’s a laundrette in town)

A perfect little self contained cottage with basics of kitchen , comfortable bed, great shower / bathroom area, & heat pump / heating (useful in winter). We are repeat visitors. Lock box entry so contactless, which is very easy!

My husband and I stayed here just for one night before our Franz Josef Glacier heli-hike tour. Easy 2 min drive to the township for dinner. Seamless afterhours check in with key in lockbox. Great communication by staff via messages for all relevant information. Heater was great which dried out all of our wet jackets and the cottage was so spacious! I would recommend others to stay here. Private, parking right at the door and such an amazing view too!!

This was one of our favourite stays during our South Island tour. It was just beautiful being able to look out and have an uninterrupted view of Franz Josef. The room was very spacious and have everything we needed for a super comfortable stay. Would definitely go back!

Unrelated to the accommodation but I recommend booking in advance if you are heading out for dinner - don't get caught out like we did on a busy long weekend!

Lovely accommodation in a stunning location. We had a 2 year old and a teenager with us, plenty of space to accommodate all of us.

Little away from town . Never got to meet the staff since this was a cottage . They had the keys in a lock box . The cottage was self sufficient but pricey

Clogged toilet. Texted the owner but only received a response on our check-out day. So we were stucked with a clogged toilet and dirty smells for 3 days. Wifi was extremely (almost non-existent) weak. Connection keeps disconnecting. We had to use our personal mobile data.

Good location. 3 mins drive from city centre. Cosy comfortable layout with kitchen, fridge and some board games available. Personal cark park space.

lounge wasn’t the comfiest and tv very basic, only thing that was annoying was we had no reception and wifi didn’t work so not ideal if you need to use your phone otherwise fine for the night.

In a beautiful location, close to town and near by restaurants, it had everything we needed for the night, had a good nights sleep.

The bathroom was tiny. The kitchen was equipped with a toaster, small microwave & an electric frypan with instructions not to cook anything smelly! And the smallest bottle of (diluted) dish washing detergent…about 40 mls… & the bed was curiously low! The clothes dryer on the veranda was broken.

Great view. Practical little cottage away from town but only a short drive to shops.

I booked this properly because it looks as if it has a rural setting in the bush away from town but it was on the main road so not what we were hoping for

No clearly visible sign of the property - difficult to find in the dark. Most upset at lack of accessibility to owner - tried to phone and sent email to him - and to Expedia - REQUESTING THE PASSWORD FOR WIFI. NEVER RECEIVED AND NOT ABLE TO USE IMPORTANT INTERNET DURING THE STAY. Same situation for the couple in the other cottage - they requested password 3 times like us with no response. There ws a private home near our cottages, not sure if owner was there, but NO ATTEMPT WHATSOEVER TO ASK IF EVERYTHING ALRIGHT DURING THE STAY.

No breakfast was offered. We were totally on our own - one of two cottages at property.

Would have been nice to have some milk in the fridge for a cup of tea. Some other bits and pieces would have just enhanced a good stay like some paper towel, oil and adequate dishwashing liquid.
