fabulous stay again, this time in the outside cabin, beautiful, and peaceful . Such lovely hosts, so welcoming their home is beautiful, such a lovey breakfast again ( minus my duck egg!!) The spa area is just a relaxing area and so peaceful before you retire to bed...

This one is a special gem- not only good facilities, but charming and a joy to visit. Would choose to stay here anytime we are in the area and they have availability.

For a longer stay a larger room would have been comfier but I think there might be larger other rooms. It would also be nice to be in one of the rooms with garden view, ours looked out over a kind of back yard. Just small things though, we would definitely stay again.

Really lovely house and grounds and lovely chatty hosts. We enjoyed the surprisingly big spa area out the back, with 2 spa pools, sauna, and icy cold spring water pool! There was plenty of food for breakfast, with an excellent choice of cereals, home baked bread and our hosts cooked us eggs too. The deck and garden was lovely to sit and eat on. Everything was very cosy, well-decorated and very clean. The bed rooms were very comfortable but could just be a little larger, not much room for luggage if you had any, it was fine for our one night stay. The location is about a 20-25 min walk back along the road in to Takaka town, or a very short drive. Lovely countryside views out here.

We could not fault this property

This place was amazing! We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it. We stayed in the garden cottage which was comfortable and well equipped. When our plans changed our hosts were very flexible and accommodating, allowing our son to pitch a small tent in the garden which worked perfectly. The breakfast was exceptional and the hot tubs perfect for soaking in the evening. Highlight of our holiday… wished we could have stayed longer

Delicious breakfast, beautiful gardens, lovely room, welcoming hosts, excellent location, friendly cats, gorgeous spa area and a freezing pool for a fun cold plunge between spa sessions. Can’t wait to go back.

Didn't stay long enough to talk !

I loved the surroundings, the lovely garden and all the little surprises like the quaint little cabin around the corner with the outdoor setting. The host & hostess were very welcoming with great senses of humour. We loved the breakfast and the hot tub. Just perfect ! My husband loved the home made jam.

Nothing, will definitely be back!

Loved the details of the property, the outside kitchen, and the socializing area down through to the beautifully private garden room with ensuite. Pool and cedar hot tubs overlooking the fields were beautiful. The breakfast spread was impressive, even offering creamy scrambled eggs. ( or fried if you prefer) and a gorgeous dinner room where you could chat with other guests.

Very lovely couple who made our stay in their home very pleasant. Rooms were equipped with everything needed, the bathroom was big and new. Everything was decorated with detail and the garden perfect to relax in the sun. The highlight was the breakfast in the morning with selfmade bread and jam as well as their spa to relax in the evening. We truly felt like home!
