Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Qatarthe fact that I booked a room with view and private entrance and I was given a different and cheaper room. the bathroom was smelling very bad and water leaking and when I informed the receptionist, he said to put some spray. 😒 they don’t have restaurant in , they send you out of the hotel to a restaurant Al aqur in souq not far indeed. the food in Al aqur wasn’t fresh, ordered mix grill and it came in 1 -2 minutes the order which is impossible to have it done right away. the glass wasn’t clean. the breakfast in the morning it’s served inside the yard of the hotel, not having many options, and the coffee they serve it’s 3 in 1… plus if you are unlucky to have the room facing the garden prepare to be awake from 5 am , time that the staff is setting up the tables, they are talking loud and your sleeping will be gone from early morning. the parking is very narrow and small and you’ll be blocked in. when I asked the receptionist to unblock the way so I can leave the hotel, they gave me the key of another owner car myself to move it from the way…. Anyways, for this prices these mentioned things shouldn’t happen. The hospitality of Oman it’s definitely NOT reflected on this hotel.
The traditional style and decoration are beautiful, that was the reason I booked this hotel.

Hong Kong- staff was not particularly nice - even if the room included breakfast we were told we’d need to pay breakfast if we wanted one (because of Ramadan….) - reception gave us wrong information about the fort opening hours which led us not being able to visit it - the pool was so disgusting that you won’t be able to dig in - hotel staff is very very conservative. even if you are by the pool you are not allowed to wear swimsuit but need to be covered at all time - bed sheets were stained
it’s close to the old city center

SloveniaAfter spending a few days on the road earlier, this place felt like a desert oasis, and although it's hidden in the old town it's still easy to navigate your car to the premises. The Inn has two (2!) small pools, indoor + outdoor, and breakfast of champions, served in a beautiful, almost jungle-like atrium. All the staff were incredibly kind and fun, plus they even had a hair dryer for us to borrow! The room was great, cool and clean, with subtle lighting, but the best part were the little locks on entrance doors. Absolutely adorable!

United KingdomThe WiFi was poor (intermittent issues with their service provider) which proved a problem for me as I need to do a few hours work (unluckily for me!). The plunge pool in the courtyard looked inviting, until I saw all the stuff at the bottom and floating in it - it is also overlooked by the people in the cafe that use the castle wall adjacent. Because of the WiFi problems we checked out a day early and went to Muscat for our last night. It also has to be said getting in and out of the hotel in a vehicle is not easy or clear, until you find it and then ask the best way to get in and out (which involves extremely narrow streets and going the wrong way down a supposed 1-way street!).
Very rustic old building within the ancient city walls, it is a beautiful location. The bedroom had a nice view over the courtyard and the seated area next to reception had lots of interesting artefacts in it.

Italysorry to say this but this was a real scam. We booked a room which was advertised as “room with a view”. Description said it had a balcony, flat screen tv and many amenities. We were first taken to a room which only had a very tiny window which could partially be opened as it was behind the bed headboard. It was super small and dusty. I complained and first the staff questioned the fact that the description said balcony or view, then, after I showed them my booking, they argued that this was only intended for 2 lucky rooms in the structure (?!?). Then the only polite person in the staff finally apologized (at least!) and moved us to a room in a different structure 5 minutes away. Despite the discomfort and rudeness and despite the room being dirty and with a stinky toilet with no paper, I was ok with this until, after dinner, we found out that the room had no hot water at all. We were not offered any kind of refund so for this nightmare we paid the full price (the equivalent of 100 Euros, a price I was happy to pay for the nice experience advertised but indeed not for this hostel-like experience).
The moment I left
