The host was exceptional, the place was very clean, and as soon as you walk in there's always that spell of freshness, the place is always maintained. The kitchen space had everything you needed if you wanted to cook, from an oven to a blender. The beds were so nice and comfortable if there was anything you needed the host would be there for you, if I were to be a lone traveller in Muscat again, I would revisit.

Great Hostel, with cozy common area and relaxing outside garden. Zouhaier is the most caring host, from picking us up from the airport to preparing dinner for us, taking us to the mosque and helping out with our rental car he is a very attentive, warm and helpful person. We will be back next week and every time we are in Oman.

Great hostel, homely and social atmosphere, nice spots inside and in the yard to chill, comfy beds with curtains (bottom bunks), big fully equipped kitchen, clean bathrooms and really great (english and french speaking) host who will assist you with further bookings of rides, tours etc. Worth the money you pay and much much more. Hospitality at its finest!

Depending on your needs, remember that the hostel is halfway between the airport and the old town. Muscat is a big city after all. We always took a taxi with the app (easy and cheap). Not sure about the public transport.

Definitely, without any doubt, the best hostel in Muscat at the moment. The owner and the employee Brahim are exquisite and friendly people, ready to make you feel comfortable and at home. The common room is wide and with comfy couches where you can lie down and relax, talking with the other guests. Rooms were fine, comfy beds with lockers as well where you can put inside your bag. Bathrooms were good and spacious. Nothing fancy, but It's good for a hostel considering also the price. There is a kitchen as well where you can cook or have a black tea or coffee. Free water, tea and coffee. There is an outside area where you can chill as well. I've seen other hostels in Muscat and this one is surely the best one atm.

It is relalated to the city rather than the hostel. Most places for exchanging money have no digital boards and almost say whatever they want.

You immediately recognize the delightful atmosphere of the hostel. It is located in an appropriate area and above of all, the kind, intelligent Owner always finds a solution for your reasonable request.

I had a wonderful trip to Muscat this month for my birthday holiday and the best part of my journey was staying at Legacy hostel. First of all the manager was so helpful with my transportation from the airport to hostel and back. The location was perfect. Everything including food, cafe, exchange and bus station was nearby. The atmosphere was peaceful and friendly. I found some good friends and I didn't feel lonely. We tried arabic coffee and sweets in the afternoon. The staff was really helpful with everything we needed and made this trip memorable. Especially I received some souvenirs from the hostel during my checkout which was surprising. Definitely I will come back again and stay with them and I have nothing in my mind except amazing memories and friendship.

First time coming to Oman, Legacy and landlord left a deep impression to us and made us fall in love with this charming country. The days in Legacy feel like at home and everyone is so kind, so warm. Highly recommend!!

Location is a bit far from the center, you have to walk quite a bit to catch bus, curtains for privacy are not there, charging sockets are hanging outside, no personal dorm lights in case someone is sleeping u can't turn on your own light on for reading or work, toiletries & towels are not provided, toilet & shower is only one for 6 dorms. Though these can be improved overtime, oman lacks hostels in general so getting one in the first place and able to stay in budget in oman was something i couldn't complain, but these things can help fellow travellers. (I stayed for 6 days). Odd timings of check in and out at midnight by travellers arriving at night can disturb your sleep specially after 12 a.m. due to lack of privacy.

Ibrahim the receptionist guy was one of the most kindest and polite person i have met in my life, hostel felt like a house, also the owner of the property was in touch through whatsapp and made sure everything was fine. They contacted me so many times at night as my flight arrived at night, to make sure i reach hostel safely. Hostel almost has everything with lulu hypermarket nearby, gym nearby, inhouse laundry & iron, kitchen and A.C., cool fresh drinking water.
