How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good value for money simple hotel. The only problem was that there was no carpet in the bathroom. Excellent location.

Breakfast could be a bit better when compared to other hotels we stayed at.
Great location, you can park at the back and then stroll around this quaint area of Muscat.

The room feels a bit dated and could do with a refresh. While the bathroom was clean, the bedroom could have been cleaned better.
Location is great, very central and near some good restaurants. This hotel is good value for money. It’s good if you’re staying in Muscat for a night or two. Our room was small, with basic amenities. The bed was comfortable. Toilet/bathroom were clean and quite spacious. We didn’t try the breakfast but we were able to get a coffee to go on the way out. There are several parking areas nearby, which was great as we had a rental car.

There should be other room with sea view in the hotel, but our room (so-called city view) on the first floor was facing a building at 3m distance. For this room it was pretty pricey
Location is top, Mutrah is the best area to stay in Muscat Parking space free of charge at the rear of the hotel Souq and restaurants in walking distance

The air in the room was very stuffed for some reason even if I opened the window. But it was still ok for a few days.
The location is great in the centre of Muttrah, the breakfast was very nice, lots of options, staff was kind too. Room was clean which was great!

1. Rooms are not spacious 2. As a Muslim, I quite liked waking up to it but others will almost definitely wake up during morning call to prayers as the mosque is just across the road

It is close to the main road. At night, you hear the motors of speeding cars. So Bring ear plugs. It is a rather expensive hotel for what you get.
Close to the main Souk. However, that souk is nowadays a tourist trap since it is overrun with German Cruise ship tourists. Every day a new boat load of tourists arrive. The hotel is far from other attractions like the grand mosque.

You have to ask for the air dryer. Laundry service is provided externally. The entry is on the side of the building.
Central position to walk in Mutrah and access to some local restaurants. We were lucky to have a room with a sea view (only a few of them have it). They serve good, honest coffee for breakfast. The staff is concise but practical. A taxi waits in front of it ( use the app Otaxi. Otherwise, they will suggest you pay more, most of the time double). The best restaurant in Oman is across the street, Al bait Luban.

The receptionist and staff were very friendly and helpful, gave us some tips and advice on what to check out in the area. The receptionist saved us by paying for our taxi as we didn't have cash with us (we paid her back, of course). The location of the hotel is excellent - right next to the bay, the souq is just a short walk away.

We didn't have a view . The room was small but adequate.
Great location- minutes from Souk and marina. Lots of free parking behind the hotel. We had booked a trip which meant we had to leave before breakfast and were given 2 big boxes of breakfast to take with us. The staff were all extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. We loved the adjoining coffee shop .

We are muslim and need clean place to pray. When housekeeping clean our room they wear shoes and the mop they used to mop the room is the same mop they use to mop toilets etc. Maybe that is the way all hotels did.
Location-location-location! Near to many restaurants and cafes, souk, fish market, water front, bus stand, HOHO, mini market etc. All are Walking distances. Staffs are so nice and explain/suggest many good places to visits. Breakfast also good and the staf also nice.
