It wasn’t a big issue at all, because we received it from the staff but to have some drinking water in the room would be good. Only a recommendation:)

Everything, pretty unique the idea of the hotel, was really comfortable and every room has an amazing view and for a big plus that is pet friendly 👌🏼 The staff is really nice and helpful, definitely thinking to go back again 😉

I would almost rather a small closet that fits a suitcase instead of the mini kitchen.

Unique location and value. So much nature nearby. The food was great in the restaurant.

We were able to get there fairly easily with a rental car from Panama City, and the road to get there is nice too. The view from the room was amazing, specially at sunset. We got up in the morning in the fog, like if we were literaly in a cloud.

It's a hotel built out of shipping containers. I wouldn't log what I'm about to say as complaints, so much as clarity for others to set their expectations by. It's very remote even for this bucolic valley. If you're relying on taxis, you might have an unhappy taxi driver. On that note, you can contact the property (which doesn't seem to actually have a front desk) and ask them for the number of a driver who knows where they are going. We got lucky on our way to the hotel and took the prior mentioned advice on the way back down. Both rides were $10, which is actually quite expensive for a 10 minute ride in the area. We also happened to be in room 2 on an evening where the property managers (possibly owners) were entertaining. Sound moves through shipping containers quite easily. All of this is obvious and we were well prepared for the actual experience, so none of this takes away from the stellar rating this unique experience provides.

I mean, this is nuevo chic as accommodations come. It's almost brand new at this time, it lives up to every expectation set in the booking post. With a full conditional setting of expectations I would highly recommend this experience to friends and family. We didn't have a car, and on any future trip, I would definitely rent a car to drive from Panama City to Valley De Anton, especially if I want to stay here, an SUV at that, the terrain on the one rode to this hotel and it's accompanying restaurant (about 400 feet up a steep hard to walk hill in both directions) is difficult, taxis here are somewhat expensive, and the driver who discovers this, might not love you after dropping you off. The so called bus (a chivas bus) is less than ideal, much better to drive.

The hotel is just opening for sure I would love to come back, and I would recommend a couple of things to improve the experience, one is to instal blackouts or something similar in all windows to provide a little bit of darkness to the room in the early morning, the other is that my room didn’t have a TV, I understand the idea is to disconnect, but I noticed other rooms have tv, it would be nice to keep the same standard. And lastly the room had a microwave and a small fridge, it would be nice to provide at least glasses, dishes and basic utensils.

The hotel has a beautiful view, if you are a biker is strategically located near a bikers facility. The restaurant has a variety of options for breakfast. The hotel has been recently opened everything is new and clean and the staff is very friendly, Luis was a great host.

We got a room with a "garden view", in reality the view is of the parking lot, and even though there was a view we couldn't open the curtain and enjoy it because the people in the parking lot could see into the room, the same with the other windows (one facing another room and the other facing the parking lot). It's quite annoying because we booked this place (which was more expensive than the other places in Anton) because of the view. And it's a shame, because the room itself is small but of a good standard

You stay at a tiny container with no noise protection. Small bed, you have to climb over each other. Very noisy, they provide ear plugs. The wind is so loud that even the ear plugs don't help. In the night you need to use your phone as the light switches are not close to the bed. The breakfast is in the restaurant to which you have to climb up a steep road. Breakfast was not worth the climb. Not suitable for older people. To end on a positive note, the view is spectacular if there is no fog.

Unfortunately there is no soundproofing between the containers so you can literally hear everything in the next room. Also when the wind blows, which it often does as the rooms are on a ridge, the noise is really loud and prevents sleeping. Neither my wife or I slept at all.

The property is based on a container design, which we didn't realise when booking. Nothing wrong with that per se, just something to be aware of. In our case one container unit contained the double bed and bathroom, the other (with sofa bed) the kitchen. Both were being located right next to each other but with separate outside entry doors. Neither of the two containers had a direct view of the surrounding countryside, unless you stepped outside.

Views must be stunning (we were surrounded by thick clouds both in the evening and morning and were not able to see anything, unfortunately).

Due to the wet weather, the container felt damp, with noticeable condensation on the walls. Not ideal after a a hike in the rain. Additionally, there was no mat at the entrance to the room to wipe your shoes or feet on, or catch drips from the door. The space was too small for two people and cases. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

Beautiful location, views, and close proximity to Nubes restaurant. Shower pressure was good and hot water was fast flowing.

I hadn’t fully appreciated that the cabins were converted shipping containers. Looking back at images on the website it’s clear they are. Whilst well laid out there was little noise insulation. The wind howled all night didn’t sleep much at all. Additionally the final road up the hill to the units is not one I would like to do in the dark or when raining heavy which it does there a lot.

As you would expect it’s all about location. Beautiful views in every direction. Inside the cabin was well laid out and bed very comfortable and loved the little deck to sit outside. The restaurant further up the hill (5 min walk) was good decent menu friendly staff

Nómada Republic should improve de insulation of the containers, because you can feel the humidity everywhere, even in your luggage.

No airconditionner, the containers painted in black absorbs the heat, difficult to stay inside. Windows didn t have filters against mosquitos. Food at restaurant was ok, but not the best, dinner and breakfasts we did there.

Dont think value for money is worth it, you are paying for location and "aesthetics" mostly. Location-wise, its a bit of a drive from the town (lots of sharp turns and steep hills), need a good car to get up there. At night if you didn't bring anything from the town there's no options for food/ drinks at the hotel (they should have a small market/ vending machines or something up there). Restaurant Las Nubes (closes thing to the hotel) definitely not worth it, too expensive, food quality and portions are subpar. Recommend eating at the town. Also the windows should have a mesh or screen if you want to have them open at night and avoid bugs (bugs WILL get in if you keep the windows open at night).

Views of the mountains at the hotel and from the room were beautiful. The room looked new and everything was clean and comfortable.

During our stay, the weather was quite bad, with strong winds and rain. Naturally, we didn't get any view, just fog. This wasn't the property owner's fault, of course. However, the adverse weather made me quickly realize the impracticality of the two-family container setup. One container had a kitchen and one bed, while the other had a bed for two and a bathroom. So, during the windy, rainy weather, my parents had to go outside to reach the kitchen, getting wet in the process. Similarly, if I needed the bathroom in the middle of the night, I had to brave the strong wind and rain to get to the other container. I would have appreciated some internal connecting doors. The rain seeped into the container through the doors. I imagine these doors are great on sunny days, but the wind was extreme during our stay. On the first day, it was even impossible to lock them until the service fixed the lock the next day. The property was supposed to have a "fully equipped kitchenette," but it fell short. For three of us, there was only one large serving plate and one wine glass. Under the kitchen unit was a vast empty space, with just a bottle of dish soap and a sponge. No drip tray, no cooker. There was just a microwave and a coffee maker, which we couldn't use on the last day due to a power outage. There were power outages at night and during the day, with no backup generator. I've had better experiences for less money in El Valle, offering more comfort. The price of this accommodation seems to rely on the nice view, which is unpredictable – it could be sunny, or it could be windy, foggy, and rainy. The accommodation, though fairly new, is already showing signs of rust. Another downside is the customer service hours, from 8 am to 6 pm. On our first evening, when we discovered we couldn't lock one of the doors, no one was available to help.

The concept is nice. It's away from the noise of the city.

The containers are build pretty but they are not practical in that location. There was a loss of power both nights and we had to shower cold. Since there is no ventilation in the container everything was soaking wet. I would recommend that place only under best weather conditions. Note that the restaitant for breakfast is a little walk and unfortunately it was even closed on one of the two days

In principle, if the weather is good it could be a pretty location.

Despite the gorgeous view, once you look down the lot itself is a little messy and doesn’t make the environment of enjoying that view as enjoyable. The cups were recently cleaned but full of water as if they weren’t dried properly with ants in them. Plates on the other hand were not very clean. There wasn’t any sugar or courtesy coffee in the room, so if you didn’t bring your own coffee, sugar, creamer and/or milk the coffee machine is useless. There wasn’t any soap to wash the dishes, if you have a sink to clean them I’d hope there be some courtesy dish soap, they did include however the shampoo and soap for the shower but no conditioner. I had to ask for extra pillows because the bed only brings two, they are very large and uncomfortable, (but that’s to each their own) and the bed wasn’t against the wall in the back so the pillows kept falling through and the bed wasn’t able to be moved. They didn’t disclose how difficult and potentially unsafe the road is to get there and the map took us through a different road, it wasn’t until we asked locals how to get there that we could find the place. The restaurant was terrible, food for the price was not good, too expensive for what you are getting. I could say the same thing about the hotel, I payed $92.98 (including taxes) but it’s originally $130 a night, sadly not worth it. Left pretty dissatisfied with the experience, beautiful place nonetheless.

It was nice, it had a great view and a cozy room. It had a nice shower/bathroom, a fridge, microwave and a sink. The balcony was really nice, the view was beautiful. They had a TV with most streaming services, which was good. The service was great, everyone was kind and attentive from the people at the hotel from the people working in the restaurant.

The room was hot unless you opened the door or windows, bearing in mind there are no meshes on the windows to cool the room with the outer temperature and wind. One understands and perhaps expects a nature experience, however, this comes at the cost of allowing insects, flies, etc. inside the room which can be extremely annoying. It is worth noting they give you a vertical standing fan, although I am not the type of person who likes direct wind coming from the fan while I am sleeping. Is not only too loud, but it also disturbs my peace and I could get sick too. In terms of how clean the room, I am not entirely sure if everything was sparkling clean, the toilet/bathroom could have been better, not to mention, the illumination was poor. All in all, I don't think it is a bad place, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. Perhaps it can be justified at a lower price, but with the current offerings, is just not something I enjoy or would recommend.

This is the type of place you visit for the environment, the views, and the experience with nature to disconnect for a while. The bed was comfortable, there is hot water and good wifi reception
