Some loud music at night, but that was the neighbors.

Honestly, for the price you can't beat this place. It has a great location, super nice beach area, a small kitchen you can use, and comfy room.

I had some humidity issues in the beginning, but they were very responsive and did their best to resolve them asap & checked in with me the next day to see if all was alright. Overall, I am very happy with my stay. Should I return, I'll be staying here again.

-Extremly basic kitchen with very poor tools both for cocking and eating. -Constant noice from close traffic 24 7 -Text about facilities at booking, say 12 min walk from playa Huertas...That is not true! To reach any playa, first go to Portobelo and then find, book and pay a boat that maybe can take you there....

Sweet and helpful staff. Simple but clean room and the waterfront is nicely fixed with sand and a small cool pool. We felt very welcome!

Very warm welcome. Older and easier equipmemt but clean. The shower with normal (not hot) water. The placememt of the hotel right in front of the sea with beautiful view. Little kitchen to your disposal.

The mattress was old and thin, kind of weird and noisy. Cold water on the shower (not a huge problem in this heat)

Very simple room, but with all we needed. Great to have the ocean at the door. It's far from Instagram perfect :), but still very pleasant. The personal was extremely nice. Very good price, even considering that it's a basic room. We would stay again.

Next to a busy loud road. Public transport was difficult, lot's of waiting for busses. Better come by car. Room can get quite hot without aircon.

Friendly lady who runs the hostel. Waterfront views although not possible to swim. Rooms basic but everything you need.

It’s all very basic and not very private. The walls between the rooms are thin, you here everything from the people next to you. I was lucky to have great contact with nice people… we had fun. Iris & Cynthia are really helpful with everything. Great place to swim, mattress & pillows could be better. Quiet at night…. except for the distant monkeys… they don’t sleep apparently 😎

The shower faucet was missing so it wasn't quite easy to take a shower and for some time we had no water pressure.

Beautiful place just next to the sea but without being right next to the noise of town. You could see the sea right in from of you when opening your bedroom door. We had a private bathroom, basic furniture and hangers along with 2 chairs on the sand next to the sea. There is a little kitchen to make basic food which was highly welcomed. The staff is very friendly and helpful and you can pay by card.

Location - too far from town. The room was extremely hot. I could not keep the door open because of the mosquitos. The fan inside the room was horrendously noisy so I couldn't sleep with it turned on. So I didn't sleep because the room was an oven of heat. No hot water. The kitchen was poorly equipped.

I liked the staff. She was very nice and very helpful.

The mattress was that great, but it was ok for the price.

The staff was super friendly and attentive, especially Iris. She was always willing to make my stay the best and always gave me useful tips about the town and things to do in it with a contagious positive vibe. The back porch was incredible. It was 15-20 steps away from the seashore. They had a shared kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own meals if needed.

There was no continental breakfast as advertised. The showers are powerful but cold, though it felt pretty good after a hot day. We were traveling by bus, and luckily there was another lodge nearby where we ate most of our meals. It was tough getting to town, and we ended up walking most of the time as taxis never stopped. The power went out in our room the first night, and without a fan, it was HOT. Luckily someone came late at night and moved us to the room next door, right as the power came back on in the other room! It was unclear what the options were for activities.

For the money, it's hard to beat. It is right on the water, though you wouldn't necessarily want to go swimming there. Basic amenities (bring your own soaps, etc.), but it met our needs for a couple nights.
