It felt a little unsafe. I showed up late at night and just entered the house. There was no one to stop or asked me who I was before entering the property.

Very cluttered spaces, most appliances were broken or in repair, kitchen was virtually unusable and very oddly organised. Lovely animals but so so many for such a small place, cats walking all over kitchen worktops and tables and chairs. It felt more like staying at someone's house than a hostel.

Staff were lovely, nice and close to bus terminal. Lovely homely and welcoming feeling.

The owner was very friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There is a bathroom attached to the dorm. Private rooms can either also use that bathroom or go to the back covered verandah. You have to like having a dog's and cats around the house. I didn't find them a problem. You can walk to town 10 - 15m or taxi $2. It is a good economical overnighter.

The room was very very hot, even with 2 fans it was too hot for me to have a proper sleep.

When I entered the hostel I was welcomed by the host and the cute kittens <3 There are a nice amount of animals in this hostel, which I LOVE! But wouldn't recommend for anyone that has allergy. Although the pets are being kept out of the rooms. It's a very basic hostel, it was good for one night.

very small house that was turned into a hostel, no curtains on beds, but messy but does the job!

kind owner, cute animals, helpful advice, met kind travelers there and handy if needing to get to the bus station about 10 minute walk.

Due to animals you have to count that dogs sometimes bark at night. Due to animal the floor was dirty.

This accommodation was good option for us. We were surprised how many pets the owner has. Staying with so many pets it is nice. Woman helped with spinning our clothes.

Not a problem for me, but you must like animals as they are everywhere (the owner does state this). Rooms were very hot even with fans on and windows open, in part, from having to keep doors shut to keep animals out.

Nice spot not far from the bus terminal for a nights stay in David. Owner was helpful with recommendations. Reasonable facilities to cook in.

I arrived on the 4th day of Carnaval, consequently many stores and restaurants were still closed. I finally found an open restaurant, after taking a long walk to get to it. The kitchen lacked bread knives. I had to butter my toast using a small serrated cutting knife.

The hotel is in a residential neighborhood in David. The area is quiet. The owner provides guest with either paid laundry service or free plastic containers and a sink with 2 basins where you can manually wash your clothes for free. I brought my own laundry detergent so I saved on having to pay for laundry washing. The owner has several clothes lines to dry your laundered items. The owner was pleasant but not as friendly as I have experienced at many other hostels in Panama.

There were way too many people staying here including about 15 Haitian refugees sleeping in the hammocks and on foam pads in the kitchen, hallway, etc. So, bathrooms are overcrowded. The woman who runs this house is very nice but frazzled. She needs a full time assistant

The dorms were fine. Comfortable beds. Fans.

I didn't mind the dogs or cats at the hostel, they were generally well-behaved. But, when I went to bed I was eaten by bugs. Based on experience, I don't believe that these were mosquitos, bed bugs, or chiggers but likely fleas, with flat red itchy welts that should disappear in five days. Had to take some Benadryl in the morning to mitigate the itching.

Good location, short walk from the bus station. Host was helpful, especially with advice to coordinate onward bus travel to Costa Rica (Tracopa). Didn't use the kitchen, except to make coffee in the morning. Tap water is potable. Clean sheets on the bed. There were fans in the bedroom to mitigate the heat and humidity.

Unfortunately I got a lot of insect bites here and an allergic reaction that bothered me for some days after. There are a lot of pets. Use insect repellant.

This hostal does supply what you basically need. It got me safely in an out of Davivid with shower and a night's sleep, not far from the bus station.

you need to prepare that in the hostel there are many animals and there is not nice smell so if you don't like animals which come to your room and lie on ur bed then that's not a place for u air-conditioning- I didn't see that info when i was booking that place (maybe my fault ) there is air-conditioning but extra paid... (10$) so be prepare for that

The kitchen was a bit lackluster and seemed to have many broken appliances. While I knew that the hostel allowed pets I did not realize that the owner herself owned a significant number of pets. My allergies were a bit through the roof the first night because of this lack of communication. Additionally the bathrooms were something to be desired. In my room the sink was broken and we were not allowed to put toilet paper into the toilet. There was also no hot water (although that would not stop me from staying here again). The price when compared to other hostels is a bit high considering it was $12/night whereas other hostels are $12 for both nights I would stay. Finally, the location was something to be desired. Since there are very few ubers in David we had to walk each time we wanted to go to the city which was at least 10 minutes away. Could be great for people looking to relax, but I was looking for adventures and good times.

The host Jose was so hospitable. Additionally, it was a nice hostel, a bit small, but very nice. There were hammocks to hang out in a covered space since we were there during the rainy season.

Really unpleasant owner, screaming for making mess in a place which is really dirty (especially in kitchen, how can anyone cooks there…) and smells with cats urine (I love animals but this was very intense- like house your lonely cat aunt, which hates to clean up and is angry about loneliness). Although, is cheap so for one night you can survive. Not recommend
