Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt says all inclusive. I was under the impression that all meals and drinks were included in the price I paid. Once I arrived, I was told the online price I paid only included free breakfast. All other food and drink had to be purchased or I had to upgrade to a higher tiered package.
Beautiful grounds, spacious room, warm pool.

CanadaWe were disappointed with the walks; especially the frog pond building. Only a few frogs and it was poorly lit. There were very few animals around the feeding station.
Overall, the experience was good.

CanadaBalcony and view were lovely but would be nice to have a plastic chair or two on balcony to enjoy it more.
Beds were comfy; room was spacious with lots of desk and storage space. Pool was nice. Overall, the resort could use a bit of a refresh. The trails on property were well-maintained. The butterfly and frog exhibits were really great and interesting.

CanadaSome aspects of the rooms were clearly very well used for example the door in our bathroom was very difficult to close. The restaurant was also subpar. We waited for over an hour to receive our food when it was very quiet. There was also a section which we learned was only for guests with food-inclusive packages to eat but the rules around food inclusion were confusing. We stayed at Summit at the beginning and end of our vacation and couldn’t understand why breakfast was included on our first stay but not on our second. It was also unclear that that section was only allowed for those who had food-inclusive bookings. Lastly, in our room facing the back of the building, every morning at around 5 am I was woken up by a continuously beeping work vehicle which was very frustrating.
Summit had everything you need for a very pleasant stay. The room views are lovely (especially facing the back), beds were comfy, rooms were big and nicely styled, the shower water was always hot and it was nice to have a mini fridge in the room. The property is beautiful with excellent birding and wildlife watching. The location was great- it was nice to be close to Panama City but be in a much nicer location outside the city and close to some beautiful natural areas. It was a great first stop after flying into the city.

NetherlandsInternet/Wifi dropped off one morning and didn't get back until after 14pm. No ATM in or near hotel.
Superb offer of (hiking and riding) excursions for bird, animal and plant watching, with local tours -- as well as daily shuttles to malls in city center, included in hotel room rate. Two big swimming pools. Well-maintained golf terrain around hotel perfect for a morning jog and evening walk. Staff attentive and responsive to small requests, like an additional lamp in my room. Good breakfast and I was welcomed for a coffee refill.

CanadaSince this is an eco hotel, more environmentally friendly practices are needed. For example, shampoo etc should be in dispensers not plastic single- use containers. Restaurant take out should be in paper containers not plastic. A/C is too cold and cannot be turned down. I had to open the door to warm up the room. Sorry. Please don't feed the crocodiles and turtles bread. It is unhealthy for them. There is too much loud music by the pool for me. I could not enjoy it but others loved it.
Room was huge and very well appointed. It had everything I needed. Tv has lots of channels. Breakfast was wonderful and a really great variety from day to day. Staff were very kind and professional. Shuttle service to different places was appreciated. Pools were lovely. I saw monkeys and a huge variety of birds from my balcony. Hotel was very clean. It needs some updating in the rooms but that always happens with time. I would highly recommend this place.

United StatesThere is nothing I disliked, except for a very loud air conditioner; when it turns on at night, it sound like a freight train
It is about 40 minutes from Panama City center; located in a beautiful green setting with a few animals you can encounter. Resort offers a few activities, such as walking tour and golf cart tour to view animals. Good breakfast.

CanadaIts an extremely busy and loud hotel. Music all day long and up until 12am (it was a pre New Year week). Felt like cheap Mexican all inclusive.
Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to the National Park, Pipeline trail. Just 10 minutes away from Gamboa dock (monkey island tours).

PanamaWe stayed on a holiday weekend. There was an inflatable water slide for kids, an entertainer around the pool, and a very festive atmosphere. The staff were great and brought out more and more seating for all of the people who wanted to be around the pool. Dinner at the restaurant was slow due to so many guests, but they had a buffet and menu option and we ordered off the menu. The food was delicious.
