We had a beautiful room with a hot shower. The dinner and breakfast was very tasty. But the best was the staff, we are very grateful to Emanuel who helped us a lot with planning another part of Salkantay trek, he was for us as a guide who helped us finding alternative route because of landslides on a path. We cannot choose better place to stay.

This is a great spot to stay while on your trek. The host Manuel is very knowledgable and gave us a summary of the next days’s hike including information around path closures and alternative routes. The food was also great and the rooms clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

If you’re a light sleeper, the river is loud, so perhaps bring ear plugs. However this didn’t bother me as it was like white noise and I slept so well.

This is probably the best place and our favourite we stayed in during the Salkantay Trek. The room was lovely, filled with nice artwork and generally nice decor with the wooden features. Very spacious, shower was hot, bed was comfortable, decent WiFi. The food was also the best we had on the trek and best value for money, would recommend this to anyone! The lady was so sweet and helpful.

Amazing hostel! I would recommend it to everyone doing Salkantay trek. The showers were hot, the owners provided us with a vegetarian food options, found a transportation because of an injury to one of our friends. Definitely worth it after the long secong trekking day.

Perfectly located in Chaullay for night 2 of the salkantay trek. The shower is hot, which was very welcome after a long day of hiking, you just have to open the knob all the way. Dinner is not included but breakfast is, and the included breakfast was delicious and filling.

Beautiful property on the Salkantay trek- they let us check in early since we hiked in around 12. The dinner and breakfast was lovely, all the staff was so nice and welcoming and the rooms were beautifully crafted with amazing woodwork. Beds were comfy! Definitely recommend; we were so impressed by how nice it was!

Salkantay lodge was faultless and such a great place to stay whilst doing the Salkantay trek. Arriving and seeing the room felt like a luxury. Great hot shower, toilet in room with seat and paper, clean room. Perfect. Manuel was also a great host - he gave us more information than tour guides we have had on our trip. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone stopping in the area!

For the place and the root in which it is, it is already really good, there’s nothing bad. Just an advice for future to have some deckchairs in the garden under the sun would be amazing!

Manuel welcomed as really well, and the whole staff is really nice. The private room was nice and “typic”, immersed in nature and with hot nice shower which in this path is not obvious. The dinner was amazingly done. They also helped us with lot of advises and help to manage the trekking.

Amazing hospitality and the loveliest hosts. The rooms are private with private bathrooms and showers. The hosts cooked us a wonderful dinner and breakfast and also helped to arrange next day transportation to Lucmabamba. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone doing Salkantay!
