“Natalie is a wonder host! Alaroots is amazing - we met some truly lovely human beings here, learnt a lot about polynesian culture and just had a blast. Do go expecting a 5* hotel - it is a true hostel, and a cultural experience but also comfortable and has everything you could need! Natalie's daughter also helped us hire a car for an incredible rate from a local company - which saves us a load of money and was very patient with our rudimentary french skills!! Thank you Alaroots and Natalie!!! Maruuru roa!”
“We loved the room with the view over the lagoon. It felt rustic and very authentic. It’s in a jungle like setting with lots of lush trees and shrubs. The breakfast of fruits, bread and jam was also very tasty and we also enjoyed the dinner served in the restaurant there. The staff are extremely helpful and lovely too. Special thanks to Rose!”
