How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Common kitchen had limited supplies. Not a big deal.
Staff was great. Breakfast were awesome. We had logistics issues and staff ( owner) went out of her way to assist and got us to our cruise ship.

there is no cable TV - just some pre-loaded movies - and they could use a more extensive selection of movies for those rainy days when you just want to relax in your villa.
Good location on Muri Beach. Lovely resort and all facilities / amenities were as advertised. Very friendly and helpful staff - they called once daily just to see how everything was going. Loved the free kayaks to take on the bay on a first come first served basis. I had a few minor requests that were taken care of immediately. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this property! P.S. Great little Vietnamese restaurant directly across the street from the resort.

Breakfast is minimal and staff does not speak English. A simple menu in several languages at each breakfast plate would have helped. We had to figure out coffee maker, etc on our own.
Perfect for an overnight stay when one arrives to Papeete Airport in the evening and needs to catch the ferry to Moorea the next morning. Locally owned, casual but clean and authentic in a residential area on a hill overlooking the. The owner will meet you at the airport but MAKE SURE to coordinate in advance. She will put flower leis around your neck. She speaks good English but local taxi drivers mainly only speak Tahitian or French. DO have Polynesisn French Francs (NOT Euros) for taxis. There are ATMs at the airport but it can be chaotic. Get your Polynesian French Francs in advance- you’ll thank me. :-) Also - the ferries do take credit cards and can (and should) get your tickets online. NOTE: there are less ferries on Sundays.

Maybe a little more variety with breakfast would be good
Very close to the airport. Reva picked us up from the airport at 11.30pm which was brilliant and also dropped us off again the following day. Great service. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.The breakfast was basic, just being fruit and juice.Although our stay was short I did enjoy it.

Our time here was very short but it was a great, cozy place to stay for the night! Will be sure to come back here for longer. One of the biggest benefits is it’s 3 min from the airport, and they have a free van that takes you there. Would definitely Recommend!

Great place to spend a night between flights and explore a bit of Tahiti! Close to the airport and within driving / taxi distance to the must-see museum and many very good restaurants. It is Reva's hospitality, however, that elevates this place way above other lodges. Thank you Reva for making our stay so pleasant and relaxing!!!

Super comfortable stay. Air conditioning was great, very comfortable beds and everything was clean. Kitchen area is communal and the free fruit was a nice touch.

the on demand hot water heater
excellent service and food, comfortable bed and pickup from the airport. We rented a car from the Lodge and drove around the island.

The shower has inconsistent water temperature.
Clean property and welcoming staff.They were able to accommodate early check in and welcomed us with a fresh fruit plate and juices. Air conditioning in room was a bonus.

It was perfect :-)
This was our fourth stay at the Manaeva Lodge and it was amazing. We were picked up at the airport and driven to the Lodge by Reva. The lodge is very well maintained, beautiful gardens, and private. Our room was comfortable, clean, and roomy. The breakfast was exceptional. Reva was highly visible, very friendly, and approachable ensuring everything was great. We rented a car from them to tour the island which made it so convenient not having to go to another location. The car was in fantastic shape and reasonable pricing. On our departure we were again driven to the airport at our specified time. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Manaeva Lodge for a stopover in Papeete. The lodge is conveniently close to the airport. Communication before we arrived was responded to promptly, the airport pick up and drop off went smoothly. Reva and her sister were very hospitable and welcoming and everything was spotlessly clean. We had a lovely home cooked meal for dinner and a beautiful breakfast. The shared outside kitchen/eating area is a very nice touch.

The lighting in the room wasn't enough like most other air BNB in the islands. Shower was very sensitive so it's hard to adjust to the right temperature. These are minor issues though.
Close to the airport. Very nice and clean room. Loved the bed and the bedsheets. They were so comfortable. Friendly service. Kitchen and water available. A pleasant surprise with the welcoming fruits and juice.

There are no restaurants or grocery to walk to. You are stuck with taxi fares if you don’t have a rental car.
Quiet bungalow with air conditioning. A well provisioned communal kitchen was a plus. The courtyard was pleasant. We were greeted with a plate of fresh fruit and juice. The host provided us transportation to and from the airport and provided us a taxi ride to and from dinner. We opted to order a full breakfast with eggs. It was very good.
