The overwater bungalow was amazing for the views and the porch but they really don’t clean it well. Also, they should provide plates, bowls, cutlery, etc. The only thing my bungalow had was cups and teaspoons. I think for the price it should be cleaner and more things provided.

As others have said, the decor is very tired and does need some modernising/updating. We just had a fan in the room (no air con) but this was ok for us. We bought a cheap bar of soap for the bathroom but given the price we paid, I would have expected that to be included! We stayed for 5 nights and the room was only serviced once. Rubbish was starting to build up in the room which wasn’t very hygienic. Overall I think it was an expensive stay for what it was.

We booked an over water bungalow which is one of the best things about the place. The balcony overlooking the sea was the best thing about the room, also being able to swim in the sea from the side of the bungalow. It was also an easy 12/15 mins walk into Vaitape for boat trips from the wharf and with shops, an ATM and supermarkets on the way. The pool was also great and the restaurant next door was very handy; we had great breakfasts there and also dinner.

It probably had the hardest bed we've ever experienced in the Pacific. Everything is a little tired looking and a couple of things needed attention, but our focus and time was on the balcony, it's location and view.

The balcony over the water was amazing with fish swimming below and the sunset out in front. Going sea swimming from just outside the door was perfect and the pool alongside had a great view too. Oa Oa Lodge was an easy 15 minute walk to the ferry wharf with the two main supermarkets and bank on the way. And Tom was very friendly and helpful - thanks!

I would’ve rated this place a 10 if it wasn’t for a few things. There was no air conditioning in the over water bungalows. We couldn’t leave our doors open for air due to mosquitoes making it quite hot at night being summer too. The property needs some overall maintenance and a refresh. Loose timbers, cracked tiles/glass, peeling paint, doors not closing properly and general overall wear. With some maintenance it would be amazing.

The property was small with a resort feel and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. The staff made this place. The facilities were great. Especially the restaurant and pool area. The location was stunning and convenient to town.

I spent a lovely overnight stay at Oa Oa Lodge...too short. The manager was very helpful and collected me from the ferry (free). My garden view room was gorgeous and contained everything I needed. The sunset views from the Lodge were amazing and are memorable. I had a very enjoyable evening meal in the restaurant. The island is special. A wonderful lady Heiata (who sells the most delicious mangos from her market stall at her house with her sister (from Ou Ou Lodge to the centre, go pass garage, her stall on left hand side) kindly brought me around the island and showed me this wonderful beach.

All fine, but we missed small details like some ammenities in the room, some complementary tea bags or some flower decoration. The hotel is amazing and with this minimum details with barely no cost, could definetively make the diference.

Our shower was broken as wouldn’t change from the faucet to the shower head but luckily they had a bath with another shower head just had to hold it by hand if not sit down in the bath & shower lol, we managed but for price would have been nice to have a proper functioning shower

The bed was extremely uncomfortable unfortunately, no hand soap in the bathroom. Also, it was very dark with very poor lighting in the bathroom. Impossible trying to do makeup! Otherwise very spacious and the grounds outside were pretty !

If you’re like us and enjoy living more like the locals, eating from food trucks, exploring town and having easy access to all the amenities, this is for you! Also we loved having the balcony over the water and loved watching all the boats go by!

Nice spacious accomodation with great view and an over water balcony. At night there was a light under the house, which attracted so many fishes, even a shark.

During heavy wind it could be bit noisy but that shouldn’t bother much. The room is bit airy and so large.

Great view from the balcony, it was just like staying in a water bungalow almost , next to infinity swimming pool and great restaurant with parking facility. Tom and other staffs were so helpful. Also, the over water bungalow may give you an experience of exotic stay because of it's unique cone shaped roof structure.

It was along walk from ferry and town but still accessible by foot for supermarket and shops. Fair bit of traffic noise. Island maintenance cut the power in evening so very thankful we had sea breeze to cool us as we slept.

Good basic place to unwind with a balcony over the water. Everything was very dated in the room but still comfortable. Shower worked well, bed was large and firm, bar fridge and ceiling fan. Great alternative as an overwater bungalow. Restaurant next door was amazing and the pool was a great size and refreshing.

Rooms could be upgraded and more modern with a good fresh repaint.. luxury rooms could be much more upgraded.

Very nice and good staff. Restaurant is excellent. Many good informations from the staff to access to different activities, car rental, boat trip, etc... The swimming pool is nice. Pick up from and to boat cruise is very pleasant and practical.
