Hard to find. Small one way street. Gps does not go to exact location.

Next to ocean, not far from town. Clean, friendly owner.

We loved it because we wanted simple, clean, private and affordable. Many of the more negative other reviews were possibly expecting a more up-market accommodation with things like toiletries, fresh towels, room cleaning services etc. Yes, the access to the studio is through a private door from the garage via the bathroom. For us, that was fine! The studio is small and simple. Fine for us being 2 adults. Probably not big enough for 3 adults but a small family with kids sharing the sofa would work. The large double bed was comfortable even though the sheets were not very well fitting. There are enough plates etc for 4 people. We found the kitchen utensils a bit limited but we made do, and our wonderful hosts were happy to drop over extra things we needed.

Terrific rustic studio with private beach access. Our hosts were so lovely and really helpful. The studio is very basic and exactly what we wanted. Private, quiet, great internet, beautiful views, a deck with sun lounges where we could rest and rejuvenate. The kitchen was also basic and fine for self-catering, which was what we needed. Being over Christmas and New Year, many of the restaurants and snack places were closed, and my wife also needs gluten-free food that is hard to source outside Papeete. The washing machine worked well and we used it a few times. The air-conditioner worked well too and was great because it was so humid with all the rain. The local grocery shop across the road was very well stocked, and between them and Proxi and Champion supermarkets close by, we were spoiled for very fresh food and supplies. The roadside fruit sellers had delicious tropical fruits for sale, too. Being right on the lagoon, we got to watch beautiful sunsets and witness the dramatic changes of weather in this rainy season. The deck area is lovely and suited us for all times during the day, and the plunge pool is a lovely extra addition to glorious swims in the lagoon. There was a parking spot for our rental car. The studio is a great location for sightseeing the western side of the island, the local Marae and Grotto with waterfalls all very close (within 20 minutes drive).

Waterfront location just out of the city with excellent snorkelling out the front (150 to 200 metres out)

This is arguably one of the very best locations in Tahiti!! The private studio opens out onto a small yard and deck that is just a few steps from a gorgeous lagoon. The studio is a short drive (~20 min) from the airport, but just outside the more heavily developed touristy areas of Tahiti. We took long walks on the beach, and encountered just a small handful of friendly neighbors. There were kayaks available for use, and it was like kayaking in an aquarium! No need to snorkel because the water was so clear that we could see everything below us from the kayak through the crystal clear water. We enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets on the deck, gazing across the water to the view of Moorea. The fully equipped indoor/outdoor kitchen makes it possible to cook your meals, if that's what you prefer, and there is a grocery store just across the road. The studio itself is spacious and seems to have been recently remodeled and very clean. The owner lives in the adjacent house. She does not speak much English, but had her brother, who speaks excellent English, come by to make sure we had everything we need. He was super nice, and cut coconuts from the tree for us to drink! We recommend bringing water shoes for swimming because there is coral and rocks.
