Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe room was a little tired. No fresh milk in the room and only 2 English Breakfast teabags. This was eventually resolved by the Deputy General Manager. No English language TV channels. The pool floor and surrounding walls are in need of refurbishment although I do understand and appreciate the inconvenience and disruption doing this would cause for guests.
Location is delightful with an infinity pool overlooking Moorea. Also, restaurant and bars beautifully located at lagoon edge. Room very spacious although a little tired. Great views from the large balcony. Food and drinks in the restaurant and bar good and reasonably priced.

United StatesEverything was wonderful. The night we stayed was incredibly busy and the restaurants were full. We had a hard time getting through the room service so we went down to the front desk and they were super helpful and put the order in for us. The front desk staff was amazing. Beautiful pool and location. Incredible sunsets.

AustraliaLike everything in Tahiti - it’s very expensive for what it is, and food and drinks really drives up the bill. The resort is also ageing - it looks tired and there are cracks in the pool etc. For a quick place to stay it’s fine, but I wouldn’t want to stay here for a week.
Nice and close to the airport, we stayed here for one day after a cruise while waiting for a late night flight. Staff are lovely, rooms clean and there’s a nice pool area with lots of lounges. The sunset bar is a great place to have a drink at the end of the day.

United StatesI realize maintaining facilities in tropical remote island is difficult and expensive but…. There was not a comfortable chair in the place. The lighting was wholly inadequate we couldn’t find things on bedside table. Cleaning slapdash. Reminded me of a Girl Scout camp in the 60’s Midwest. Very Pricey for what it delivered. Food was ok but twice the price of the better food at French restaurant down the road. All that said we really liked Tahaa and the people.
Location was lovely. All the reports of great snorkeling right off the dock were completely accurate. Staff was friendly. Pick up and return to airport excellent. The day excursion they arranged was absolutely great.

SpainThe room location was poor. We were located facing the main street and the street noise was very loud (traffic). We felt that selecting the basic room placed us in the worst location.
Location was excellect and the facilities were very nice. We used the hotel as a day stop between our cruise disembarkation and our flight home the following day.

United StatesDespite being on the sea front, the ambiance at the onsite restaurant is not great and feels almost temporary, under a tent - we headed elsewhere for dinner every night but one. Some of the facilities need a refresh, e.g., the pool bottom is quite cracked and easy to get scratched on. The kitchen in the apartment was very sparsely equipped, e.g., no wine opener, no lids, no sharp knives.
The sea view two bedroom apartment was large and the terrasse was absolutely wonderful. The infinity pool is large with a gradual entry and a pool bar. The view of Mo'orea and sunset is spectacular. Many water toys (kayaks, SUPs, etc.) available to take out. The staff were very friendly. Parking is easy.

New ZealandKeep all doors and windows closed otherwise the antiquated but effective aircon will drip on your head while sleeping! Also a little disappointed about the lack of comms about needing to book an extra night for an early arrival. Charge was $75 to get early access to room on arrival and had to hang out in the lobby and by the pool from 4:30am until room was ready at 7:30.
The pool, breakfast, SUPs, snorkelling around the islets.

United StatesWe were not there long enough to dislike anything.
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Beautiful location on the water. We spent less than 24 hours here b/c we headed to Bora Bora the next day but it was the perfect place to stop over before going to the other islands. The room was well equipped with what we needed for the night. The pool and bar areas are all situated with gorgeous views of the water. The infinity style pool makes you feel like you are at a 5 star resort but not paying the over water bungalow prices! We even went for a night swim although the pool was supposed to be closed. :). Our kids enjoyed the stay there as well. It is probably good for a night or two but may be redundant after a couple days.

AustraliaThis hotel only had 1 bar and 1 restaurant with a very limited menu (eg 4 mains) so if you have fussy kids you could only eat there once at most.
The property was well located and the apartment spacious for a family. The pool bar was great for sunsets over ocean views.
