Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe wifi didn't work at all in our room. We found if you sat further along the main communal deck it did work. The road up to the property was challenging (winding, steep and a dirt road for the last couple of hundred yards) and Google maps sent us the wrong way. The map we'd been sent was good but I didn't know how far away it started so it took us a couple of goes to get there once we understood that map which was actually very helpful then. The driveway and parking spot was quite narrow - we got the last one, We had to leave at 5am on our last day to get to the airport and I was anxious that we would be blocked in. We checked at 10pm the night before and it was fine but at 5am we were blocked in but fortunately the car blocking us had only just arrived (a staff member) so we were able to get ours out in time. There were a lot of aggressive sounding rules with the word 'forbidden' used three times and other over the top phrases. 'Please don't' or similar would be more friendly wording. It made us a little anxious to be there really. I had three showers in our two days and two were cold. Seems this is normal as the hot water is heated by solar so I either had a shower when the water was run out or not yet heated. Not what I expect for the price or a three star guest house. The shower had no door and opened onto the main bedroom and in view of the big glass sliding doors to the communal area. It was a room for four and I would have found this awkward if I'd been with our children.
We were in room 5 which is on the ground floor of this small complex which is on two levels. Our room had a nice decking area which looked out onto the swimming pool and a large white communal terrace decking that spanned the width of the property. We had a fabulous view of Moorea and the sunsets. The room was nicely furnished with two very nice basins and a big shower (although no door or hot water a lot of the time). We had pool towels as well as room towels. The pool was a little cool but nice. We had plug AND USB sockets each side of the bed which is always very appreciated, We arrived around 5.30pm and weren't sure if we'd be able to find anywhere for dinner as we'd been travelling all day and it was near sunset. We were pleased to be able to order dinner on site and we had the most delicious meals of our trip. First we had a beer on the lovely large communal deck at 6pm and watched the sunset which was magical. At 7pm we had dinner which we both declared delicious - I had gorgonzola ravioli dauphine and my husband had the bacon version. Both were beautifully cooked and served piping hot. Also a nice choice of drinks including wine and beer. We ate outside on the main terrace area with the fabulous view.

NetherlandsBecause of the wooden floors the rooms can be very noisy and you can hear a lot of the sounds of the room next to you. My room was next to the restaurant which was also very loud. Breakfast was pretty expensive
The view was amazing and the staff friendly. The road up to the accommodation was not as bad as mentioned in previous reviews, just drive slow.

United StatesThe road up to the place is completely doable and drivable, but quite rough. Just be prepared for a bumpy ride. The top part is especially rough (I hope the city fixes it soon). Coffee is not included. That would be lovely if it were. Breakfast is extra, but that's understandable. I left a solar powered lantern out to charge one day when we went out, and it was gone when I returned. None of the staff knew what happened to it, so that was a really unfortunate. So beware of leaving items outside your room.
This was our second time staying at this property, so obviously we loved coming back! The view is absolutely amazing. Four of us stayed in the quadruple room (which has a glitch on Booking so the price is more than listed because it sleeps four, but Booking only allows for 2) for two nights. And our mother stayed in the room next door and our siblings stayed up above in one of the ocean view rooms with a kitchen for 6 nights. Whoever I corresponded with at the property through Booking was WONDERFUL and helpful. The dinners they make are excellent, so if you don't feel like going out, I recommend eating there. They have Twingos (very small cars that fit four) you can rent for a reasonable amount which is so convenient. It's VERY clean and bright and beautiful. It reminds me of some of the places I've stayed in Greece. White and blue with beautiful views.

New ZealandThe road to Ninamu is something to be aware of. Take it very slowly and all will be fine. Our shower had sand in it but was easy enough to clean ourselves.

PortugalThe extra services are a bit expensive, such as the breakfast and the laundry but work really well. Regarding the road up, I’m quite surprised with such negative comments. Yes, it’s bumpy and steep but if you take it easy, we had absolutely no problems or found it any harder than other roads similar even with our small rental car. I think people are making too much of a big deal about it.
We loved our stay here! The view is breathtaking and the shared pool is big and not busy. The rooms are really big and comfortable, with AC and a fan. we had the family room which was ideal for our family of 4. The breakfast, although slightly towards the expensive, was delicious with a big selection. The staff was also very nice and helped us whenever needed throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again!

United StatesThe road getting to the property. Unpaved rough road. Needs major repair. NinamuPearl needs to join with their neighbors to have the entrance road paved. Otherwise our stay was wonderful.
Beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful. Very restful. Property beautifully maintained. Cleaning staff was great. They cleaned the deck, mopping the white boards everyday. Enjoyed having our laundry done and returning home with clean clothes. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

New ZealandWifi issue when we arrived, eventually everything tripped out and restarted and then WIFI worked. The road to the hotel is very steep and long, results in great views but did not want to drive again unnecessarily - lucky there was food available onsite.

United StatesThere’s not much privacy here. All rooms lead to a shared deck where everyone from the six units walk around. Moreover there no door to separate the bathroom so you need to completely close all curtains to even just take a shower. The road up to the guesthouse is very rough, especially if you arrive late in the evening and are trying to find the way the first time around.
The location overlooking the marine pass between Tahiti and Moorea is stunning. The room and guesthouse is clean and nice. Location near beach, bakery, museum and shops is good.
