Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceDespite telling them beforehand about my arrival time, I had to wait half an hour for the shuttle bus to pick me up from the airport, and had someone to call them twice...
The location near the airport. The new bakery around the corner and a choice of restaurants in the area.

AustraliaUnfortunately our stay was less than comfortable. For $305 AUD per night, the room and facilities were less than what we expected. We booked a standard 2 bed room. The hotel itself could use some refreshing and when we entered the room we realise the AC was busted, the TV kept powering off and the sliding door to the balcony had to be pried open by both of us. Our room was located on the second floor which is a walk to the reception. As those who have visited POM before know, it gets very hot and humid. Unfortunately when I notified reception of the AC & TV problem, they sent maintenance who then disappeared completely for over an hour without word on when the AC or TV was to be looked at properly. It took an additional walk to reception to get us moved to an additional room (no extra charge was placed which was lovely). Unfortunately, the walk to reception could’ve been prevented if reception was available via phone. We called 4 times, with no response. When we were moved to the additional room, the AC in one of the 2 rooms was also broken! Hotel staff notified us they would send maintenance however maintenance never showed up. We then went to order room service but the contact number on the menu was unavailable. So, we had to call on our private line who then redirected us to the kitchen.
The staff were kind and very courteous. Customer service was very high! More specifically, the gentlemen that facilitate the courtesy bus are very professional and polite. Location is great! Especially if you need to get to the airport. It’s less than a 5 minute spin. The courtesy bus is prompt and well maintained.

Papua New GuineaYour whole rooms have air con issues. I've been there to and from since January 2024 and nothing has changed with air-conditioning facilities. That's world war 2 issues, these air-conditioning is, that need to be rectified. Looks your a/c electrician are also lost in diagnostics with these air-conditioning systems and problems. They can't even fix it.

AustraliaService is a bit officious. Airport transfers stop after 8 pm. If you arrive later than that you might get stranded at the airport. Luckily the neighbouring Airways Hotel shuttle dropped me off. Booking.com rooms are also a bit smaller than direct bookings.

AustraliaLack of elevators and no help with luggage in the morning although we asked. Beds are just ok and the rooms are looking very tired. We had only 1 towel and had to ask twice to get another. It's ok for an overnight but would not stay any longer at this hotel.
The location is very close to the airport and is fine for an overnight stay. There are no elevators, so stairs with luggage is an issue. No-one was there to help bring luggage down in the morning. The rooms are tired but adequate for overnight.

Papua New GuineaPrice was too expensive for one night and it did not include complimentary breakfast. Biggest problem is the aircon controls. The staff does not know how to operate nor turn off the aircon. A manual should be placed in the room for all the siemens aircons or change them if possible. Only one set of cups for a twin share room room. They should make available tea sets for how many people a room can cater for.
Free airport transfer was good.
