    They didn't have my booking in their system so I had to move to another hotel, but booking.com took the money out of my account anyway (1000 $AUS) and I am still trying to get it back.

    Location near the airport.

    Wifi was a bit slow and subject to a periodic reset requiring the connection to be re-established. Accessing the wifi was also a bit buggy, e.g. it took multiple attempts before the portal would acknowledge the connection request.

    Nice room. Very helpful and friendly staff. Airport shuttle was great.

    PR was very bad. Room service very bad. Ordered food, people who brought the food were very grumpy. Disappointing. WiFi was off the entire time.

    Apartment itself was terrible. Place was dusty, sofas were mouldy, cockroaches everywhere, kitchen cupboards had dead cockroaches in them and although the air conditioning was on when we arrived, there were no remote controls. We called and requested for remotes and after almost an hour, of waiting, the maintenance guy said the remotes are in the other apartments which are occupied by tenants and therefore cannot be retrieved. Terrible terrible experience. Apartment was nothing like the photos.

    Location was good. Front desk staff were good.

    Very smelly room. Bathroom fan noisy and water leak in shower. Food at restaurants not great and service quite slow.

    Furnishing needs upgrading badly. Stains on beddings carpets, couches. No hot water in shower

    Didn't have breakfast. Room was too far from reception especially when carrying heavy luggage

    nothing that I know off.

    Internet service was very good an was able to do more emails. Room was very tidy expect there was no chair for the room table. I went looking for cleaners to help with it.

    1. You have to follow up with their laundry services. 1. During one of my visits, the apartment I stayed in (apartment 12) had a musty smell from the couch and a leaking air conditioning.

    Gateway Hotel is situated in an ideal location. It is only minutes from Jackson's airport. If you use Booking.com, you can get a better deal. The staff at the front desk are GREAT! They are always helpful and address you by name if you're a regular visitor.

    Hotel transfer bus failed to pick me up at airport. Rubbish in corridor. Bed not made correctly, only one bed sheet, no doner cover & hair, dirt & cockroach between sheet & doner. Food is over priced. Placed a wake-up call which did not happen, lucky I set my alarm. Room was OK but needed a good vacuum cleaning. Staff were all helpful & friendly. Short walk to bar with airport views was worth it.

    Rooms very dirty and unhygienic.. Saw some human hair in the bathroom.. Trash shower still full with Rubish

    Rooms must be clean on time and look neath like other 5 start hotels in Port Moresby

    Worst experience In over 40 years.Poor management, bathroom unhygienic and mould.. Broken facilities, TV and air con, poor service. Management should be sacked. Nowhere near a 4 star stnd.

    150 USD for a dirty, unkept bathroom with no toiletries and really bad service. I checked in at 6pm and the room wasn’t ready, they had to go and check and I had to wait another 10-15mins. When I arrived at the room I thought right away the room was not worth even half of what they changed me. I requested shampoo and more towels but the housekeeping service was completely useless, it was the lady from room service who had to go to the other side of the hotel to fetch extra towels for me. Really terrible service, go somewhere else.

    The only good thing about this place is its location and the airport shuttle service, everything else was apalling.

    Shower head was damaged, and therefore the water temperature was difficult to regulate. The TV screen was too white - images were faint. Air conditioning was unresponsive. Did not work. The maintenance man did not fix the issue. The adjustable lighting knob did not work. There was no room service menu available. Not enough towels were provided.
