How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).

Our room was at the front which we found very noisy late at night and early in the morning with the sounds of motorbikes and tuktuks. Maybe if our room was not facing the road it would have been fine. Our bathroom floor was always wet as the shower drainage is not great. Wi-Fi was ok.
Staff were lovely and helpful. The place is kept clean and shoes must be removed before entering your corridor. The location is good in terms of being close to shops, restaurants, the beach etc. with tuktuks easily available.

The shower doesn’t drain properly so you end up having to walk in an inch of shower water to use the toilet, even the morning after
Good location on Main Street, needed a private room after an expedition so it did the job

The private bathroom is located outside the room, it was quite small and rusty. FYI : Our third night in El Nido, we went to another hotel that was cheaper and nicer (location was the same).
Location is very good. Bed was good and AC was quiet.

It could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, they helped us book tours and even gave us some food on our final day because the shop was closed.

shower over toilet seat and wifi in room not working at all. apart from that all good
location for the city center is ideal. it’s basic accommodation so don’t expect any luxuries. the lady from reception helped me organize the van to el nido so I didn’t have to go to the bus station.

Mattresses were super thin with just a plank of wood underneath so was very uncomfortable to sleep on & the shower pressure was really bad only a little trickle came out.

As there were power outages while we were in el nido, there was only power at some stages throughout day, which sometimes didn’t include AC. So room was quite warm, and also there was no hot water. This also seemed to effect WiFi as it was intermittent.
Location is good - very central. Breakfast is simple but tasty. Staff are very friendly. Free water dispenser.

Shower water pressure was low so was hard to shower. Bathroom also had old towels on the racks which seemed unhygienic.

The room was a bit small, the water pressure wasn’t great, the address on booking lead us to another palce, the full name of the hotel doesn’t appear on google maps, we found the place only when we searched”bunakids” without the word reddorz witch was a bit confusing. It wasn’t very clean.
Nice place, shower had hot water and the bed was comfortable.

When we arrived we weren’t sure that it was where we were staying as it is on top of someone’s home. There were ants all over the shelf and wall by the door so we couldn’t leave anything down or they would swarm over it. The bathroom was not in the room it was down the hall, a wet room so when showering you would stand at the toilet and sink, no shower curtain.
Brilliant location, right in the middle of everything! Walking distance to all bars and restaurants. WiFi was good. Staff were friendly and good aircon in the room

Good location thats why all the time is so loud.
First time in 3 weeks in Philiphines without ants in the hotel. Good Wi fi and AC. Stuff were so kind and helpful. In the mornings were free coffee and anytime can refill bottle with water.

When we arrived, there were preparations for a funeral downstairs. We didn’t think much of it at first because we thought its a family thing and tried to respect their privacy for them to grieve. So we left for the day and when we returned from dinner, little did we know it was a open casket funeral service happening downstairs with over 50-100 people. May their soul rest in peace and my condolences to the family. If something like this was taking place they should have notified us and we would have cancelled our reservation and booked another place. But it was an uncomfortable situation to be in. We went to a cafe in the middle of the night and tried to find another place to stay the night but there was no vacancies in the vicinity. Tried to get in touch with booking.com but they returned to my messages 24 hours later and they were no help. The phone numbers available to us no one picked up. So we had to return, we had trouble sleeping the night because of all the noise downstairs from all the people. For us it was a really bad and uncomfortable experience.
