Fable is a really lovely hostel. Very relaxed vibe, staff are friendly and helpful. They arrange family dinners out every evening. The 8 bed dorm was very spacious, beds comfy, showers hot. Lovely reception l/social area with filter coffee and tea available. Free light breakfast n the morning.

I had an amazing stay at Fable hostel, I can only recommend it! Ervin and Micqua are incredible hosts, the vibe that surrounds this place is truly magical and I was very sad to leave. The bed is comfy, the whole place is really clean and in a quiet street, but still well located. Paliton beach is only a few minutes away walking. Truly special!

They pretty much do everything right here and know exactly what you need when backpacking so all details are thought of. The hostel is located only a few minute walk from Paliton beach and with several food options in walking distance in case you don’t want to head into town. The dorm rooms are some of the nicest I ever stayed in. Rooms are huge with so much space for luggage and beds are comfortable with curtains, own light etc. shared bathrooms are also nice and big and always clean. They serve a little but nice breakfast included in the room price and there’s real coffee also. The staff is absolutely amazing and so helpful with everything. It’s a small hostel and feels really homey and very social in a non party way so it’s easy to meet people either in the common space or by joining the family dinners.

The staff at Fable is amazing! They’re so welcoming and immediately make the place feel like home. The facilities are great, the rooms are giant, and it’s one of the cleanest hostels I stayed in.

Absolutely everything and I can't wait to come back. Mareike and Micqua did an amazing job of making the place feel like a family, especially with the dinners. So clean with huge rooms, warm showers and cute dogs. Can't think of anything they could improve on.

Nothing, restaurants are a little way away but rent a scooter and it’s not a problem.

The hostel owner treated us like family. The dorms were spacious and the lounge area was a chill place to hang. Loved the daily snacks they served and the clean bathrooms and toilets. I enjoyed the family dinners daily too

The toilets and showers are outside of the rooms, you have to walk outdoors to reach it. Like a campsites have.

Loved the social vibe and the family dinners. This hostel really makes you feel like one big family! No big party hostel, but just nice to hang around and go around the island together. I absolutely loved it!

Absolutely nothing!

I was looking for a social (not party) hostel, and the concept of a family dinner really attracted me. I stayed one night and was amazed by everything! The rooms are spacious, clean, comfy, and have everything you need. The shared areas (toilets, showers, etc.) are just as great—they’re spacious, very clean, and the showers are hot with excellent water pressure. And the staff—OMG, the staff is AMAZING! They are so friendly and incredibly helpful. They know the island well and always have great advice for anything you need. I immediately wanted to extend my stay, but unfortunately for me, they were fully booked. That said, I ended up staying 15 more days on the island and was still able to join the family dinners whenever I wanted, as well as the parties and karaoke nights. I had the most incredible stay on this island thanks to their company, and I will be eternally grateful to them.

My only criticism was that the pillows were not the comfiest.

We loved our stay at Fable hostel. The rooms themselves were huge with lots of storage and living space. All communal facilities were kept clean and tidy and we loved the social space! The staff were incredible. Super fun bunch who gave lots of brilliant recommendations and joined us for family dinner every night.

Not much, wooden bunkbeds could maybe do with an upgrade but that's a minor compared to how awesome this place is!

The rooms are incredibly spacious, community here is awesome, a peaceful feeling from the moment you arrive and are offered a drink, the fluffy dogs, the team working here. Free breakfast and hot showers. Also love the family meals and nights out, Halloween was awesome! A lot basically.
