I've got a room next to the toilet (I've heared and felt everything you could imagine). In the morning after my claim the staff kindly relocated me to another room, I was quite satisfied with it. A nice view from the swimming pool on a rooftop.

Pictures are not showing reality, in general the rooftop is quite old, pool was not too clean and there are only for 4 deck chairs for the entire hostel. Also the shower in our private room was quite old styled

My sis & I had 2 nights here after 4 days on a boat exploring the Palawan Islands. El Nido is a busy, vibrant place. This hostel is big, and well located centrally. It has a rooftop pool with an epic view and a bar attached with happy hours. Great way to meet new people, and they had lots of day tours you could organise from Reception. We had a private room with 2 single beds, air con and an ensuite . Room was a decent size, and beds were comfy. We were on the 4th floor, one level below the rooftop bar/pool area. This was a bit loud the first night with karaoke going, but it stopped by 11pmish. The one downside is that you have to walk past the 'smokers area' to get to the bar/pool area - which as a non-smoker, wasn't ideal to walk through. All things considered, would stay again.

We were accused to have stolen a towel and almost had to pay for one day stay more then we had. Thats not OK.

Signs say quiet time after 10pm but the hostel was definitely noisy and drunkards being all shouty until passed midnight. Was annoying since we had an early start but expected at a hostel i guess.

Lovely spacious room with killer air con which is just what we needed after one of us fell ill. Great location to go and discover food spots, markets, cafes and bars but can be quite noisy

The bar is way too slow needs to lighten the selection upstairs.

Needs elevators! We were on the 4th floor and it was a long way up every time. They helped with the luggages though. The pool was cleaned every morning but I feel it needed a stronger chlorine solution since the sunscreen film on top deterred us from going in, since alcohol was allowed in the pool, also had a funky smell to it.

Loved how it was walking distance to the main part of town that had all the bars & restaurants. The hostel always hosted fun activities in the evening that anyone could join in like beer pong and trivia night. The private room we stayed in was very spacious and had storage for clothing. Free water refills were available on site l.

Price. The bed is comfortable until you change position. It's some weird memory foam that doesn't quickly adjust with your new position. The double espresso is definitely not a double. Less than half of a normal sized espresso cup, and gone in one sip.

This place is awesome... but for being one of the most expensive hostels I've ever stayed in, it better be.

- The shower inside my bedroom didn’t work - The showering place in the common areas don’t appear good hygiene. The architecture reminds a prison: dark, lower shower (at height of my hips) and moldy - the swimming pool is nasty. The water is poorly maintained, the floor surrounding the pool is full of green mold and the general picture of the area doesn’t apply for good hygiene - Lack of ventilation in the toilets/bathroom - A hostel that big and with lots os strangers filtering in and out should have better door locks. A card system or something similar (except the current and dated keys) would be welcomed. - Internet WiFi is terrible. If you depend on internet to work, just don’t stay here. In the bedrooms didn’t work at all and in the lobby and rooftop the connection failed in every ten minutes. - The dorms are a bit narrow

The activities offered at the hostel are a great way to turn strangers into friends, as they say. Haqqy life agency, located inside the hostel, offers the best hoping island tour in the area. The restaurant at the hostel is also quite good, despite the prices are not cheap (just like everything else in El Nido) The hall staff is great and always ready to help you
