It very much depends who is staying there whether it will be fun or not. We had hardly anyone there, so there were no activities organised during the day or night. There are no other activities or anything on that beach. I got food posoining from the fish and chips and we were eaten alive by sandflies. They are currently undergoing renovations.

The staff are amazing. The restaurant area was great to meet people. The beds are big and have privacy with a curtain. It is a beautiful picturesque beach and very quiet if you want some down time.

Poor quality of food and way too pricey. Excursions even though you pay environmental tax they didn't give you any receipt so when you end up booking other tours outside mad monkey you have no proof of your payment and it's more expensive than the tours you find all over the island. Even though the beds are quite large the mattress is too thin and the room is way too hot, they ask you to move rooms to match other groups of people regardless of your length of stay. Wouldn't definitely recommend the price they charge you.

Everything but please always make sure the stray dogs have water! Sea water is not good for them!!! It doesn’t take much to leave out a bowel of tap water for them every day! Thank you very much for my wonderful stay!

The staff. I notice that sime of the staff only prioritize mostly the foreigners. And in the morning I waited too long to get a coffee. I cant have a coffee without the cashier? Which is really late and will chat first to other employees before entertaining me. That is not good for customer service. But other employees are good like Garry, he entertains everyone which is good.

I like the location which is nacpan beach, i just dont like that its far from the parking area. I also like the privacy of toilets and its cleanliness. They said Mad monkey get crazy at nights but maybe i went in a wrong date because my night stay is just chill. Few people and theres no like crazy party or games. I went to bed early.

The property has multiple issues. 1. Even though i booked using my card, they denied to charge my card and they demanded only cash. 2. The rooms does not have wifi and you have to come to lobby to use wifi 3. The Mad Monkey Bar which is in the lobby is a scam. We drank and ate there for two nights. We saw that they were adding random extra beers to the bill. The second night we asked them to take our signature everytime we ordered a drink. Still they added random extra drink. When questioned, they said sorry it was for other table and they deleted it. This is for items which we observed. We are not sure how much they have looted there 4. They keep changing the water price. If the water bottle costs you 80 Peso in the daylight, its 100 by night and 120 by midnight. So they have very bad service in that as well. 5. We tried booking a boat tour which was outside of the Mad Monkey and when the guy came to collect the payment, the manager was rude to the boat guy and asked him to leave the property immediately. We had not opted mad monkey boat tour as they did not have slots. And still Mad monkey had the audacity to be rude to our boat guy. All in all, this is not a hostel. I have seen hostels in 18 other countries and this is just a hotel in the name of Hostel. Its better you skip this

Low pressure in some showers

Had such a great time, I extended my stay. The guest experience staff is great (Maria, King, Gary, Hannah) even though it's low season they knew how to entertain and make me feel welcomed (I'm a solo traveler). The location of the hostel is amazing, there is really good snorkeling if you swim across to the closest island (the current is minimal) it's better than some scuba diving I've done. Don't miss out on night swimming with biolumenecent plankton at the end of party. Overall had a good time

Very far from el nido town & its expensive to travel to el nido town The trips put on by mad monkey are expensive - we did a sunset booze cruise which was 700php per person for 11 people, but had no speaker for music and not much alcohol. Didn’t seem worth the 700php

The facilities needs to be renovated, its not the same as advertised. The toilet is dirty. And the staffs were unhelpful, you gotta have to push them so they will help you out. The food service is also bad. And there’s no wifi when I arrived, you will have to stay on the beach because that’s the only place that has connection.

The rooms and bathroom were not clean. The fans in the rooms are not enough. They also didn't have lights inside the bed.

Is on the beach, they have a bar and restaurant in the hostel and some options really close. The silent hours were respected.

As with all Mad Monkey hostels, this location was no different in getting you to enjoy the party. The staff were absolutely amazing, MJ, Dashie, EZ and Maria to name a few were so welcoming and ensured every guest had an amazing time. The beach is absolutely beautiful and just amazing vibes!

Nothing, perfect

I spent 2 nights in Mad monkey, and by so far the best of my stay in the philippines, I had to chill the day, enjoy the amazing sunset and amazing beach, and at the same time have so much fun by night!! The staff is so cool and they do everything to make you feel good and happy! For solo travel, meeting other people will be so easy
