Restaurant was a little expensive for what you got.

We really enjoyed our stay here!! There is definitely more of a hotel than a hostel feel to Red Picnic. The hostel is very calm and quiet with a lovely swimming pool and surrounding areas of trees/green. There is a restaurant on site which served good food and was handy to have as there isn’t much in walking distance, however there are lots of good food options in Alona just a 10 minute drive away! You could also walk down to the beach nice and easy in under 15 minutes! We really enjoyed our stay here, it was away from the busy area of Alona, however close enough that we could still enjoy the liveliness if we wanted too. All the staff was helpful and friendly too!

The restaurant meals are quite expensive, and it's pretty far from Alona to have better options, otherwise all good 👍 Showers could be a bit cleaner

The staff is helping, friendly and smiley 😊 The pool was clean and warm, which compensated a cold water in the shower. The room was quite big and spacious, with a private bathroom on the second floor. I extended my stay for 1 more night since it was a good value for money. There was a beach 10 minutes walk away if Alona feels too crowded.

Hot water was hit and miss and the shower head was pointing the wrong way so you had to hold it in place to shower.

the place was great! the staff was absolutely lovely and especially Ella. She is a very bubbly and kind person that is ready to help anyone during their stay. It really made you feel welcome. Besides that, the rooms are clean, comfortable and pleasant to stay in. The location is good as well.

No heaters in the shower. I went during a hotter week so it was fine but if you need heaters, keep this in mind! I was really fine the entire time though plus a cool shower after a nice swim at one of the beautiful nearby beaches is just golden! Still gets full marks because toilets/shower rooms are kept clean. Food at attached restaurant can be pricey. It's good but do explore the island for more food options.

Been a while since I stayed at a hostel - i thought I've outgrown them. This was a great comeback! Comfy room, beautiful surroundings, great staff! It's away from the center of the nightlife and whatnot but near beautiful beaches which is what I prefer. The pool is a nice touch too!

I recently stayed at Red Picnic Hostel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with modern decor and all the amenities one could need. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The on-site restaurant served delicious meals, and the breakfast was a highlight especially the hot chocolate. Yummm! The location was perfect, close to many attractions and convenient for getting around Panglao. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location was a little out from Alona beach. They order tricycles but you're better walking to the main road and flagging one down

Very small bathroom, lack of any shelf for cosmetics, small soaps and one time use gel instead of dispensers. Overall not very comfy bathroom. Didn't have proper chair for working, had to use one from tarrace.

Good bed, good AC, short ride or even walk to nice quiet sandy beach, food and drink bar in the hostel area, card access to room, walking distance to well equipped grocery store, cloth drying hanger, small tarrace. The Internet worked good enough for working and was reliable.

Because of the set-up of it being more a hotel. There was little of a social vibe as most people stuck together Thankfully dorm mates were also solo travellers so stuck together. There is no hot water in the entire complex for showers....and given the other facilities available you would assume this is something that can easily be sorted.

The place is pretty good in terms of the facilities offered and also comfort of the room. I would probably say this is more of a hotel with dorm rooms than a hostel if I'm honest.

Clean, modern/rustic, good ambience in the room and in the restaurant/pool area. Very comfortable stay.
