Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaIf you’re looking for a nice quiet relaxing getaway then this is the perfect place. No cars or bikes. All you can hear at night is the water lapping up on the shore

SwedenOverall, we thought the price value paid for 2 nights was not matched by the quality of facilities. These huts are beautiful and sure are uncommon for Europeans, but very common around Philippines. Seemed like the owners bet on the wow effect but some things clearly needed to be fixed there, and seemed to be just let down without being fixed for a while. No pressure at all in showers (I'm aware this is a common things around the islands), shower heads falling apart. The general styling and vision of rooms could be updated so much with just a few minor details. (White mosquito nets, white bed linen, a few warm string lights in the huts instead of a cold white hospital like lamp). We were surprised by the lack of skills of masseuses. And even more surprised to see that the same women were also...the cleaning ladies. So we assumed they just use these people to do massage. It didn't seem very professional. For all that, the price value seemed just too high for what it is.
Very quiet, beautiful and remote place to relax with incredible water surroundings. Nice dinner buffet with social time and live music, bonfire. Included yoga classes were great

DenmarkCould not prepay our stay through Booking.com. Only reservation was made so had to have lots of cash along. Booking.com looks like its pay policies are greedy towards hotel owners.
Stunning location and helpful staff.

United KingdomStairs to the cabins are really steep with a hand rail only on one side. The room layout is a bit awkward with the bed off to one side and plastic curtains at the front that you can't pin back to leave the front lookout open. Holes in the mosquito bed net. Listing said they catered to vegans and I informed them in advance but the options were really basic only veg and rice for dinner and just fruit for breakfast, fine for just one night. It'd be nicer to have options to choose from at breakfast and dinner rather than a buffet. I would say it's slightly overpriced for what it is but a fun stay for one or two nights.
Great atmosphere with fairy lights, music and lots of nice seats and hammocks to chill in. The activities each day are a nice touch to engage you with island life. There's the option for more of a social experience if you wish with the activities and shared tables. Showers had good water pressure and blocks were always clean. Staff are really great and friendly. Really easy to organise ongoing transfers and the staff help you carry your bags on and off the transfer boat.

United KingdomI literally can't think of anything.
Isla is in an Idyllic setting. You could sit and watch the sea all day long. The staff were so lovely; they cooked a delicious buffet for everyone in the evening, and there was a complimentary breakfast booking in the morning. They also have a lunch menu. I had ceviche, one of the best things I'd eaten in a long time. They also have cute pigs that come out daily, yoga, village visits, complimentary snorkels, kayaks, and plenty to do to keep you occupied. The views are stunning, and you get the best sunsets and sunrises The Philippines offers. Make sure to bring all the cash you need for your stay, as we didn't, and all the money they receive in cash goes into the local community on the Island. We only stayed one night, but I recommend two to get the most out of the experience.

United KingdomToilets were not the best and need some work for sure, but manageable if you are used to camping vibes.
Staff, location, lounge areas, activities, and the whole set up was excellent. Shipwreck dive nearby was great to see. Felt very exclusive as it can only accommodates a small number of guests. It's a must stay if I were to recommend it to my friends.

AustraliaNothing, it was perfect.
This experience was absolutely incredible, it exceeded all of my expectations which were already high! The island is just paradise, and the rooms and all of the structures they have built are absolutely gorgeous as well. There were so many little details and decorations dotted around that just complemented the island vibe perfectly! The food was some of the best I've had in el nido yet and the service from the staff was outstanding, they made us feel so comfortable and welcome! I will be raving to all of my friends about this place and will most definitely be coming back myself. Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience! ❤️

MalaysiaThe huts could be a little more comfortable - better bedding, another fan as it was quite warm at night and a dresser to put our clothes/items somewhere. Better lighting in the toilets. More options for lunch as the a la carte menu was limited and sometimes only a few dishes available.
Amazing island with stunning blue water and sandy beaches. Beautiful in good weather and a real escape from the bustle of El Nido. The huts are very basic, so be wary of its similarity to camping, especially as the toilets/showers are shared. Food is good!
