How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There was no heating because it’s April, even though it snowed during my stay. I was given an extra cover when asked, so that’s not too bad. The door to the bathroom is right next to the kitchen which makes it super uncomfortable to go. Overall, it was a rather strange place.

It stinks, a bunch of Arabs, Indians and other nationalities chatted non-stop even at night, until I had to say several times and get out of a conflict. There is no cover on one of the toilets. It is allowed to drink alcohol in the hostel and here drunk inadequate people can disturb others. You need to pay 10 zlotys for a locker. Wypili też ode mnie pół butelki kefiru i odłożyli w inne miejsce.

Only one common bathroom that is dirty, and untidy room.

Only one shower. Lockers had keyholes so I couldn’t use my own padlock. I had to wait to speak to the boss so I could pay for a key. Beds creaky and uncomfortable.
Very cheap, good location. Chargers by beds.

The room was quite smelly, but you get used to it and for a very low price, I am not complaining.
It is one of the cheapest hostels in Krakow. You have everything you need.

That we had to remember the admin, that there are two of us, not one. And we need two places to sleep. Not one.

This just a two bed room flats that then has 10 beds in each room. It is very cramped. One of the toilets seat was missing. The shower was good but there is only one to be shared by everyone.
The guest made the experience for me. All very friendly. The location was very easy to get to. Well connected to the city via trams.

the hostel was self service it seemed there was no one to oversee any problems, the landlords did not want to be disturbed,and there was no toilet seat in the loo,so if you had problems with anything, you were on your own or had to rely on another guest to help

Appears as though some people are living there permanently. On arrival there was someone asleep in one of our designated beds. The toilet was missing a seat and the owner lives on site.

It's too small for 20 people. Kitchen not practical and only one shower. In my mind this is not a hostel but more a private apartment. Manager live there too.
Curtains in front of bed. Terrasse for smokers.

No reception, didn't know my bed number even after checking-in cos the owners were not there. Strange smell in the room.

The place did not smell good the second we entered. Even in one of the rooms. The bathroom is not really clean when we were there. Also if the hostel is full there is only 1 shower and 2 toilets for 20 people so there is quite the wait in the evening. The internet was very weak especially if you were in the bottom bunk bed. My personal recommendation: the hostel is good for a cheap stay in the center only for 1-2 days if you’re planning to stay out most of the day. Just some notes we noticed to look out for: - The owners live in the hostel. They have a dog. - You have to pay 15 PLN for the locker.

But there's no common area so I think they should allow guests to stay a bit longer in the kitchen and also find a way not to have drunk english people.
This hostel could be very nice, the neighboorhood is nice, it's a nice flat. I liked the locals staying there.
