Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFull size bed was a bit small for us but I should have read the description more carefully.
The breakfast and location were excellent. It was a very short walk to a beautiful uncrowded beach.

Puerto RicoI have stayed at Casa Isabel several times in the past. It is in the perfect location. It's 11 minutes from the airport and less than 2 blocks from the beach. You're also only 10-15 minutes away from Old Town & La Placita, 2 lively and not-to-miss places.

Puerto RicoIt's a little dated but quaint and authentic. Wasn't running the air conditioning even with temps in the 90s, but surprisingly, we slept well with just the fan.
Great location close to Old San Juan & the airport. Nice people, wonderful breakface.

United StatesWe found parking on the street but had to look for a while. The parking area is not very big so I would not count on it being available. The bed was a little small for us, although it was comfy. They insisted on having us show a proof of Covid vaccine (we needed to send a picture of our vaccine cards) or else they would not check you in.
This Bed and Breakfast was very charming. The sitting areas were beautiful and the breakfast was good. The room was very clean and had a refrigerator. There was a beach at the end of the street, just a quick walk away. We did not use them, but they had beach chairs and other beach items that you could use. They also had a cute balcony in the back that was fun to sit on at night.

United StatesStayed here for our honeymoon; Casa Isabel was a great choice! We loved the privacy of our room and the kitchenette in the separate suite. The morning breakfasts are delicious and abundant. Margy was a gracious host and took time out to speak to us most days we were there. The area is very quiet and safe with lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. There is also a 24 hour grocery store (Supermax) 5 minutes away on foot if any last minute supplies are needed for your stay. Staying here made our trip even better! We definitely would recommend to couples looking for a nice place to stay on their trip.

A very short one-night stay was too short to enjoy fully the place. Very good breakfast with hot sausages and scrambled eggs. Very helpful staff - they prepared us breakfast earlier, which we appreciate a lot. The charming building and the common spaces for guests were very nice.

United StatesCannot think of ANYTHING about casa Isabela that I didn't like!
Perfect location in a quiet safe residential area of the Condado, 2 blocks from the beach. 1 block from a major thoroughfare with restaurants, pubs and nightclubs. A 15 min walk to The Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico & 25min walk from the Centro de Bellas Artes (SJ's Lincoln Centerish complex). Margie, the owner, runs a well-oiled ship. Great staff prepares the daily breakfasts and do the housekeeping. The breakfasts are varied in choice of hot and continental selections. The B&b is equipped with all possible amenities & seems to have anticipated every need. Towels for the beach, collapsible portable chaise longes, sun hats, sunscreen. Etc. Ubers service the area conveniently. A short 30min ride into Old San Juan and all its charms. 30 min ride to the Airport. I loves the secure coded access to the facility and that building's architecture speaks of early 1930s elite digs. I'll stay here again for my next visit

CanadaOur room was close to a water pump outside that can be noisy sometimes but after a while you feel use to it.
Casa Isabel is a good B&B next to Calle Loiza in San Juan with a lot of food options around. The contact with the person in charge is very easy and you feel very safe in the casa. There is a very good breakfast in the morning, and a lot of stuff you can borrow for your day at the beach. There is a secure parking you can use, but it is also very easy right in the street.

United StatesWhen we arrived at night after a long day of traveling, there was a lot of sand all around on the floor of our room, had to grab a broom from the kitchen and sweep it up. Not a big deal but it made us wonder how much the room was cleaned prior to our stay.
Rare to get breakfast included in PR so it was much appreciated. Loved all the beach equipment (chairs, umbrella, cooler, hats, sunscreen, boogie boards, toys). Lovely little covered sunroom where you can lounge and read a book. A beach is just up the street, not the best in PR, but easily accessible. Also has grocery store, gas station, pharmacy, restaurants in walking distance.
