The only con was that we found the hot water was a bit hit and miss.

Great location within easy walking distance of everything. Clean and private apartment, well laid out and equipped. Quiet, minimal noise despite being on a street. Well equipped kitchen, only item we found lacking was a colander. Excellent instructions from the host on how to find and access the apartment.

The only downside was the bed, but I believe the owners will improve it. The mattress was comfortable, but the frame could use more stability.

The accommodation was great. The size of the apartment, the amenities, the little details, and even a small gesture like a bottle of Madeira wine were a lovely touch. The location is also excellent—right in the center, but on a quieter street. Unfortunately, the building has poor sound insulation, so you can hear a lot, but it wasn’t too bad. We appreciated being able to cook and do laundry, and it was great that laundry pods, oil, and other essentials were provided. It’s an excellent place to stay for multiple days.

The only thing could have been better is to have mosquito net on the windows as they were quite few of came in. And no shower gel or shampoo. Apart from this everything was great.

We asked for warm blanket, but didn't get any answer. Luckily I covered up with my hiking sweaters, but It would have been nice not to have this struggle in the evenings with sweaters. :D

We had some issues with the shower, but the host quickly fixed them, which we appreciated.

This place is located very close to the city center, we had the "water" style apartment on the last floor, there is an elevator, but was moving very slow. The place was spatios, clean, had a living-bedroom-kitchen all in the same room, it had a washer which we used, also every appliance you needed. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows not that much, at least for me, my partner slept ok. Overall a good experience!

The localization is excellent. I had an apartment with a nice mountain view . Room quite spacious. Basic useful kitchen utensils available. I appreciate the bottle of wine as a greeting, it's a nice gesture

This is not a criticism, but a note to the property management: The only missing thing in kitchen is a Knife. There is a tiny little one but the knife tip is missing and it is blunt.

Everything you need, you will find in the Apartment. We had a 5 nights stay and it was everything perfect. Directly into the city center, kitchen and washing machine included (Bring your own detergent), all in all a very happy stay. Thank you.

It didn’t really start well. Owner sent instructions on how to get in last minute and we didn’t have any internet to read his Booking.com message after we left home. So we got there, texted/phoned him… no answer ☹ We had to call Booking.com for them to access the owner’s message and give us the instructions to get in. Unnecessary stress! There is no soap/shampooing dispenser in the shower. There is a washing machine but no drying rack. There is no toaster, cover for microwave to keep it clean, colander, small spoons, pair of scissors, bread knife, cutting board, hooks to hang the kitchen towels, extra garbage bags. Everything, forks, spoons, towels, toilet paper, … is at the bare minimum (2 of each). Also refilling a small bottle of dish soap, and providing a roll of kitchen paper and some paper napkins doesn’t cost much and would be such a plus. On the fun side, don’t take the elevator if you’re not patient: it takes one and a half minutes to get to the fourth floor!! LOL!!

The apartment (4D – Water) is great, modern and clean. There was a 375ml bottle of Madeira wine on the table by the TV as a welcome gift. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The apartment is bright with three big windows which allow for the air to circulate and cool it at night. It’s quiet facing the mountains and the blackening curtains are great to sleep. The internet speed is decent.

Staff doesn’t work on weekends so communication might be delayed. No facilities like hotel to keep a large bag/ luggage after checkout. Towels change are not offered as part of the long stay ( Please ask if you need to have your towels changed). TV is an old one with just some local channels . No Roof access . Very small elevator and it’s super slow.

Centrally located. Close to all facilities and centre. very spacious room . There is even a foldable sofa best for extra sleeping space if needed.

I reserved this place for a friend and she loved it. The location is great, very central, close to restaurants, bakery, pharmacy, as well as several of Funchal's attractions. It is quiet, clean, and well equipped. I would choose this place again.

It could be cleaner. There were layers of dust on the appliances and surfaces. There is no heating (which is very common in Madeira) so that does mean the apartment, being very spacious, can feel cold on winter nights.

The location is GREAT The apartment is also very spacious. The host was kind enough to give us extra duvets because it was cold in the apartment at night.
