How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

totally unhelpful staff. if you have a car, be careful with the parking police. they are always there. very noisy room doors. people SLAMMED their room doors to close making a lot of noise, all through the night and in the morning for breakfast.
the beds are amazing. the room is very big and the view is nice.

Due to the upcoming papal visit and youth conference, the price for lodging was higher than normal. We were glad to have the rooms, but felt the nightly rates for our rooms were atypical for Lisbon. The higher than normal rates were acutely evident when compared to other places we stayed in Lisbon that provided greater value for the cost.
Location to the airport. The proximity to the airport and airport shuttle service were just what we expected and wanted. Going out for "one last shopping and dinning experience" in Lisbon required just a short and relatively inexpensive Uber ride. The front desk staff were professional and helpful. I also appreciated the spaciousness of the room for three people, especially when compared to other places we stayed in Portugal. Finally, the adjacent parking lot was a very welcome surprise. When we booked the rooms, we were not aware that we needed parking, but our plans changed over time. We arrived Saturday afternoon and were pleased to learn that from Saturday evening to Monday morning, parking was free.

The hotel was close to the airport but far from the main city. However, the metro or Urbers made it easy to get around.
The hotel has a shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel is walking distance to a metro station.

Terrible odor in the bathrooms by the reception area, carpets and rugs need to be updated in common areas, many stains, a room itself could use a few furniture updates (some were from the 1980s). TV would not turn on.
Wonderful staff, location can’t be beat if you need the airport. Comfortable, big beds, crispy linens, great pillows; wonderful, generous breakfast. Free parking on Saturdays and Sundays. Next door- a big awesome park!

They told me we could check in at 11:00 but the room was not ready. I asked 3 weeks in advance for an early check in.

The size of the rooms, enough to acomoda-te a double bed and an extra bed of almost same size. The location near Campo Grande metro station and very few minutes distance by car from the Aeroporto Humberto Delgado. The staff was wonderful, we arrived earlier before the check in time and they manage to keep our bags while we went out. The day after our plane was scheduled for 7 PM and the hotel allowed us to check out late by 5 PM.

Great location, the rooms are fairly big and the staff was very helpful, check in process was super fast. I needed to check in two hours before the official check in time and this was very rapidly managed, which was crucial for my stay (and to say that I questioned several other places and none allowed it). Very much recommend staying here.
