Location is so lovely, I think photos don’t do it justice, it is so much better. And the host has been extremely inviting.

No (or may be week) ventilation in the room,so it became very humid. Smell of the food from the kitchen on the second floor. Notice, that you need a car!

Very fresh, new, modern building. Big, well equipped kitchen with absolutely everything you need. Easy check in. Beautiful view from the window. I would stay there again.

This stay was wonderful! We stayed here for 5 nights and everything was super clean. The room was large and comfy with many windows and beautiful view. The host was always making sure we have everything we needed. The house is surrounded by mountains and even though the mornings are a bit colder in February, enjoying a nice cup of coffee on balcony was such a nice start of the day. We've enjoyed here a cozy and restful stay full of adventures. There are many hiking trails and levadas in the area :). The house is spacious and very well equipped. Nearby, is a nice bakery, small supermarket and a few nice restaurants. If you enjoy staying away from a busy noisy city filled with tourists, and rather prefer spending time closer to the mountains, this is a lovely place to stay. We are coming back again.

Nothing, everything was great!

Everything was perfect. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, separate cupboards for the food of each room. Our private bathroom had a big tub for nice hot baths and there was a separate toilet downstairs. Comfy beds and super clean. We had a great stay!

Budget room - not very big, but ok.

Very good in comparison to other Portuguese stays... + New house, built using good quality materials - not too cheap. + Near shop, bakery and restaurant. + Quiet - no road noise and no machinery noises. ( Other rooms had no guests so this can be subjective to my stay ) + Can "black out" the room - proper window + shutter and curtains. + Key box check in, didn't meet anyone. + Clean. Good for hiking trip: good sleep + coffee in bakery + water from shop and go.

The room doesn't have much sound isolation. You can hear the main road from outside, but moreover, you can here every step and door opening from the other guests.

- be aware that the expressway VE4 linking the island's south to the north is just 100 m away (motorcycles!), which can be a little nuisance in particular when sleeping with open window or sitting on the balcony - be aware that hot water for the house is provided by a medium-sized boiler, which can be unsatisfying when everybody wants to shower in the evening (better avoid taking a bath then) - no desk in the room (clearly missed!), no hooks - there is a jacuzzi in the private bathroom, but jet-function seemed not to work after filling the tub (just a simple on-off button in the panel, so no temp. control with water heating), chlorine or other appropriate special disinfectant is needed! - no heater in the bathroom, so it feels a bit humid (in winter season)

- correctly described and pictured on booking.com (I booked the room with balcony & own bathroom) - very clean (!), newly & intelligently equipped location, good medium-hard bedding, spacious wardrobe, programmable heater - shared & well-equipped kitchen downstairs (a total plus for me, to meet & share with other travellers), also nice sitting area in inner court at kitchen but perhaps not during winter - nice rec area downstairs, but needs heating in winter to use it, so probably not an option during those months - road ER228 leading to the Encumeada pass starts right behind the house - very responsive and kind host All in all: a clear 9-10 (I suppose) for summer & spring use, an 8 only for winter use (see also below "cons"), which is why I gave an 8. But I did love this place quite a lot!

- Location - it was not ideal, we did not find many attractions nearby - Weather - after the season, it is a place where it rains more often than on the coast. It can be very humid - Uncomfortable mattress - for me, for the person accompanying it was fine - The smallest room is quite tight, there is no wardrobe or hooks for clothes, only a chest of drawers - Shared bathroom - if you do not pay attention to it earlier

- This is a new place! Do you want to go on vacation like this, clean, freshly prepared for guests - There are heaters in the rooms - you will notice this if you are traveling after the season - Well-equipped kitchen with tea and coffee - Parking for a car - Washing machine and dryer on site - Several hundred meters to shops, bakeries - The hostess responded immediately to the reported fault

I liked a lot about the accommodation. It was new, so clean that it almost felt wrong to use stuff, good location, comfortable interior and facilities. Compared to other accommodations in Portugal this is well above average. Friendly host/owner who is responding quickly, super friendly and speaks English very well!

Far away from town. I was alone in the house with other guests i dont know and to share bathroom with. The doors are very thin and i did not feel very comfortable as a single travelling woman. Furniture seems old / sheep. Not what i expect for that price.

The photo shows a lighter room, in fact it is dark there, the blinds doors do not fix on the balcony because of the lamps, I had to prop them up with chairs. Big disappointment, I rented a room with a jacuzzi, but I could not fill it with hot water, the boiler that is installed in the house is not designed for such a volume, I had to lie in cold water.
