Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi ArabiaThe resort is really really great, the most suitable word to describe our experience is service service service. Their staff are all very polite, well trained, knowledgeable, attentive, and you will feel in every way that they want to make their residents happy. I have never been to a place that provides the service in this professional manner. They spoil their customers in a way that makes it very difficult for any other hotel to match their experience. Thank you very very much for this unforgettable vacation.

United KingdomExcellent location, friendly Exceptional Luxury and Service – A Perfect Stay! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Al Messila, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided impeccable service, making me feel truly valued as a guest. Check-in was swiftly completed by Bassim who was very informative about the resort and reassured me that anything I need to reach out.... 24/7. The room was spacious, elegantly designed, and offered beyound expectations. Every detail, from the plush bedding to the high-end amenities, exuded luxury. We had alot of room service which was absolutly spot on. From the service recieved by the team to the meals being delicious (and my kids are fussy eaters). The dining options were outstanding from the one day we utilized, with a variety of gourmet dishes that catered to every taste. I highly recommend Al Messila to anyone looking for a five-star experience. No faults what so ever. Clean pool, clean hotel, private pool was cleaned before we got out of bed and last but not least guest relation team ( Laia & Myat) was exceptionally helpful. Thank you again for everything. Everyone at front of house was phenominal including the Valet Team and Golf buggy crew. You all made our stay extremly pleasent and that would be our reason for returning to this amazing resort. You all was accomadating throughout our stay with our young family. 5 star all rounder and thank you so much for all your support and the service provided.

United KingdomI used the spa and while the facilities looked impressive in the pictures, the services were limited and I got the feeling that my booking was more of an inconvenience to them. When I arrived at reception the receptionist was on the phone for about 5 minutes which seemed like eternity and the therapists were just standing there staring at me without offering to help. Then I was finally greeted with a smile but straight away taken to the therapy room and told to get ready without the opportunity to see or use the facilities. I have been to some of the top spas in the world and get treatment regularly, so perhaps I have high expectations here but while the therapist clearly gave it his all, it felt as though he was either new or just found my booking to be an inconvenience. I was worried at times that I would incur an injury. The pressure fluctuated from light to extremely heavy and sudden. In the end I asked the receptionist for a buggy to take me back to my villa and they just told me it's outside, it was not! So I walked it back. That being said, my wife told me about her experience and it seemed superb, leading me to think that the Spa here is perhaps more geared for ladies and not so much men.
Facilities were great and the location was quite central to everything else. Especially for those wanting to see the key landmarks of beautiful Qatar. Villa had excellent privacy and super facilities. Hotel staff were top notch and functioned as a team, which was impressive. My wife loved the spa treatment and facilities. The hotel reception staff even went out of their way to make sure that we got some breakfast upon checking out at 4 AM (outside breakfast hours). I would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomThe wellbeing spa and fitness facilities are for over 18's only. This was a shame as we usually use the gym and classes with our teenage daughter when we go away.
The staff are exceptional here. They are so polite, friendly and accommodating. All facilities are extremely clean and breakfast was delicious, heated pool and poolside beds and service were excellent.

United Kingdom- if you stay for a long period, the food becomes predictable. I didn’t person like the food for dinner in the main restaurant compared to other restaurants in doha which we ate at. - far from main attractions sites but great if you want remote experience.
- women facilities are excellent; with private gym, hair saloon and nail salon in the hotel. There is also a women swimming pool. Felt extremely empowering and safe, as a women. - outside pool is fantastic alongside the indoor pool. No crowd and staff will actively ensure people have sunbeds and don’t just leave towels on them. - Guest Manager, Myat was excellent. She went above and beyond with all our request and made our stay extremely welcoming. She would message daily to check in with us and ask if we need anything. - extremely clean and beautiful hotel, with spacious rooms. They provide treats in the rooms which are divine (chocolate almond, gummy bears, crips etc)

SwitzerlandStreet Noise: Despite the lush landscaping, the hotel’s proximity to a busy road means you can still hear the hum of traffic, even in your villa. Food Disappointment: The cuisine across all restaurants failed to meet five-star standards. Aging Facilities: The villas, while spacious, feel dated, with the unusable kitchen being a particular letdown for families who might want more flexibility. Uncomfortable Interaction: Most staff are polite and smiling, but one staff member, possibly a manager in traditional Qatari attire, stood out for the wrong reasons. His cold demeanor, lack of greetings, and overall aloof attitude contrasted sharply with the otherwise warm service. It felt odd and out of place in a hospitality setting. Animal Cages: Seeing cages for trapping animals near guest areas is unsettling and doesn’t align with the resort’s luxury image (close to turkish restaurant which no one tells us about)
Spacious Villas: The villas are impressively large, offering plenty of space for families to relax and unwind. Lush Landscaping: The hotel has gone to great lengths to create a green oasis, with trees and plants that help buffer some of the street noise. Attentive Staff: The reception team works hard to make guests feel welcome, and the service throughout the resort is generally friendly and accommodating. Peaceful Evening Ambiance: In the evenings, the resort feels tranquil and pleasant for a walk or quiet relaxation.
