“John the host was super friendly. Breakfast was good and so too was the free parking. Super handy location to Spark arena.”

  • “We spent 1 night here in January 2025. After arriving at Auckland Airport (international terminal) around 8.00PM and after a long wait to pick up our rental car at the airport, we managed to get to Takanini by 10.00PM. Parking space was designated in the driveway and self-check in was easy as clear instructions to locate the house key were provided beforehand via text. As the unit was on the ground level of a two-storey house, access was very convenient to load, transfer and unload luggage from the car. Hot water system worked well, and we appreciated the adjustable hand shower head and fluffy white towels. Wifi and TV connection was also great. Upon checking out the next morning, we explored the bayside track behind the house (Conifer Grove Esplanade Reserve) and were surprised by the wonderful scenery.”

  • “Easy check-in, parking, space of the apartment.”

“We loved this properly. It was great location for the airport and it was immersed in countryside fields with cows and alpacas surrounding it. Really relaxing and lovely homely feel. The only issues we found was that our toilet wasn’t working properly for the duration of our stay (1 night) but we did let them know quite late in evening so they wouldn’t have had a chance to fix it until the following day. The only other thing is that the kitchen is outdoors, so there were some what looked like mouse droppings in the cutlery drawer, which was a bit off putting, but bound to happen in an outdoor kitchen and just needed a clean. The fridge was really well stocked as was the kitchen in general. We thought this place was so beautiful and would love to stay again on our next trip to Karaka.”
