  • “Perfect homestay location for exploring Sigirya, Lion Rock, Ruins of Polonnaruwa and visiting wildlife parks on safari. Karu, Anusha and family can’t do enough to help with any of your needs. We travelled with 2 of our adult children and immediately all felt at home. Karu organised, bikes, scooters, safaris, bus tickets, rock tickets, sight seeing tours, and was often happy to join us. This is a true homestay with only a few rooms which allows attention above and beyond. The food is also brilliant, not only yummy, healthy and local but also ample. Finally, the pool allows for a refreshing swim at any time of day to cool down. Thank you Karu, Anusha and family. Highly recommended homestay. 😘”

  • Kandy City Village Review score: 9

“The homestay is super nice and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean and the bed super confortable. Also the breakfast was nice and served just in front of your room. The only downside for me is that the homestay is not on walking distance from the city center. You have to take a Tuktuk to get there or to the train stain but if you do so then it’s super close around 7min drive. I do recommand staying at Kandy City Village !”

  • Shashin Lake Resort Review score: 8

“The lake is super close you can see by night also glowworm. the breakfast is amazing.”

  • Sashini Homestay Review score: 10

“Stay at Sashini Homestay if you want an authentic experience and a chance to meet the loveliest family. Chaminder and his family are so friendly and welcoming. The property is super centrally located - opposite major restaurants and walking distance from sigriya rock. Chaminder has a tuk tuk and can arrange trips to Pidurangala and Dambulla for great prices. His wife makes the most amazing food and I’d recommend trying her rice and curry. This was hands down the best breakfast i had in all of Sri Lanka - with different options every morning and a chance to try different delicacies. There is only 1 room available so dont hesitate to book!”

  • “Extremely caring hosts.”

  • “Beautiful quiet location. The owners are fantastic and go beyond and above to help you with everything. Very goed breakfast.”

  • “Spent 2 nights at this hotel and it was all very nice. Spacious room, comfortable bed with clean sheets. Mosquito net. Several types of plugs by the bed. Fully equiped bathroom with hot water, clean as well. Free fresh fruits juice as a welcome. Didn't try the breakfast but the dinner was really good and generous. The staff is very nice, flexible regarding your arrival time and helpful if you have any questions or to organize tours. Possibility to rent a bike (1000 roupies for a day !). Possibility also to do laundry. Quiet location but still close to the New town’s center (supermarket, shops, bus and train stations) and the Ancient city.”

  • Tree Trails Sigiriya Review score: 10

“The most loveliest of stays. So well looked after by the whole Team and we met the Owner too. Anji looked after us so well- she is an absolute treasure- a very special lady who I have no doubt will have an amazing career in Tourism/Hospitality. The Chef made THE best Sri Lankan cuisine breakfast and dinner were awesome!! He even packed a box of sweet treats for our journey that had been prepared to celebrate New Year. What a legend!!! I loved his cooking and I am a fussy Veggie! Breakfast on the Tree House was very special also! The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. We had a very special afternoon on a tractor with Anji as out host checking out the Local Landscape, a boat ride on the lake and lots of natural Wildlife. It was so special- thank you Anji! ❤️ We will return again and I would recommend Tree Trails to everyone!”
