“The hotel is in a really lovely place right by the sea. It's full of greenery and flowers, it's amazing. Of course, you have to know that it's completely isolated from the rest of the world. It isn't far but for sure, you can't walk anywhere from there. You have to get a taxi or the hotel tuk tuk. We used the hotel tuk tuk which is free and went to Grand World which is 3-4 minutes away but can't walk there at night through the dark "jungle". For the town, we had to get a Grab taxi, which cost us around 10 euros to go and another 10 to come back, as it's a 30-40 minutes ride since no one drives over 40 Km/h all over the island.
Our room was right by the pool which was amazing! We were unlucky the days we were there and the sea wasn't very friendly so we didn't swim in it, but the beach was maintained every day by clearing all the seaweeds and other debris brought in by the waves.
Our room was really spacious and had the largest bath ever!
Breakfast was nice but that is as far as it goes. Due to the staff's lack of even basic English, we were unable to order a simple omelet. We also tried the restaurant one evening. It was nothing much but it kept us fed.
All staff were very polite and friendly.”
“The hotel is very modern and beautiful, has 3 large pools and is right on the beachfront. They also set up poolside movie nights which is great. This is a good hotel if you want to really unwind and relax in a secluded area.
However, it is around a 20 minute drive from the local town where most restaurants and shops are. There are only around 4 restaurants walking distance in this area so I would recommend hiring a car or moped if staying here. Unfortunately during our stay we had 2 power cuts which lasted overnight where one night we even had to relocate hotels which was very inconvenient. The WiFi went down frequently during our stay and there was also no sign of staff at the hotel or reception for the majority of our stay to help with any issues. The cleaning of the rooms was also not very adequate, they do not clean daily and some days didn’t take rubbish which we had bagged up and left at the door to be taken, we also did not get towels some days and as there are no staff present it was difficult to resolve any queries.”
“Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and spacious. The air conditioning was weak and we were given an electric fan.
Sea view room is fantastic as we could appreciate the fireworks from our balcony.”
“well spent time in a new cool hotel. great service and also rooms cleaned every day and towels changed, I recommend to everyone we are very pleased with the stay. a big plus is the possibility of renting a scooter.”
