    “We stayed at the hotel for two nights and overall had a great experience. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with a very comfortable bed. It had everything we needed — a hairdryer, a mini fridge, a kettle, and even a proper desk. The hotel is located just a few steps from the beach, which was very convenient. Although we didn’t go up, there’s a rooftop area where you can watch the sunset, which is a nice bonus. The atmosphere was pleasantly quiet, even during the Thai New Year, which we really appreciated. Water was provided once a day, and in the lobby there were various entertainment options like billiards, table tennis, and chess — we didn’t use them, but it’s great that they’re available. You can also use kayaks for free, which is a lovely touch. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to paddle to the nearby island, but we wish we had. The staff speak limited English, but they were extremely friendly and helpful. They assisted us with booking tickets to Trat, gave us a free transfer to the pier, and even allowed us to check out later than usual since our boat was scheduled for the afternoon. It was a very kind gesture. Sadly, we couldn’t extend our stay because the hotel was fully booked — we definitely would’ve loved to stay longer. Overall, we’d definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet and relaxing stay close to the beach, especially if you’re looking for good value and friendly service.”

    “As a family of 5 we had an amazing stay in the deluxe family bungalow. It was beautiful, spacious + clean, next to the lovely pool + right on the most beautiful beach ever. The staff were lovely, friendly + helpful. The breakfast was excellent, as was the all the food. There's a lovely beach bar which does happy hour + a small shop. Koh Mak is a quiet island + was how I remember Thailand being 25 years ago. This was out favourite stay during our recent trip + we hope to return some day. Thankyou Koh Mak Resort”

    “We booked the budget room. Very basic (as expected for the price we paid) but amazing value for money. Very helpful host who took us to a bike rental shop. Beautiful pool area. Hiring a bike/tuk tuk is a necessity due to the peaceful location. Everything in easy distance with transport.”
