“Karine, the hostess is delightful and so helpful. Her home is a wonderful place to stay. We took our two children there to stay for a night. There is so much for them to do with pool, table football, pinball and playstation. The breakfast was delicious and we had a happy stay. It is a 15 minute walk in to town where we had a delicious dinner at La Refuge (does not take bookings). We slept well and comfortably and I would recommend others to stay there.”

“Alfred is such a friendly, hospitable host. This is our 3rd stay with him as the room suits our family of 4 perfectly and it is in a great location. Our kids love opening the door in the morning to find our breakfast in a kind of laundry basket! Recommend this room 100%.”

  • Chez Michel Review score: 8

“Hey this was a perfect getaway chalet away from the glitz , glamour and noise of the ski villages. This is tucked away in the mountains in a tiny off-beat village where there are little or no amenities so you need a car or plan well with bus trips to and from the shops and ski slopes. Michael the host was very welcoming and the house itself is an old style original wooden house complete with wooden floors and ray burn stove to heat the place. Breakfast is warm and welcoming typically a continental affair but I arranged to have cooked eggs as extra! Mountain views from the windows made it all the more pleasant. About 20-25 minutes from Val D’Isere ski slopes and similar to Les Arcs. If you want a genuine getaway with authentic chalet experience this is a good choice . Only fault was some of the bedroom flooring was creaky so it was hard to move around quietly - other than that things were perfect. Small kitchen with fridge was available with cooking utensils for evening meals should you wish to cook your own. Phil.”
