“Very nice hotel! The grounds are tastefully designed, and the dining area makes you feel like you're at an African lodge. The pool is very large and there are comfortable loungers. The room was very clean; we especially liked the outdoor shower. The service was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the hotel!”

“Really friendly staff. Small but offers really nice food. Eco friendly with free filtered water to refill bottles. We had fresh papaya juice for breakfast that was grown on the trees in the garden. All the food was delicious. We had rice and curry in the evening and it was great. The staff were lovely and patient with our children. Room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Pool was wonderful on a hot day after a safari to cool off. We stayed in one of 4 bungalows next to the pool. It's very convenient for the national park. Only a few minutes drive. The safari we arranged from the hotel was excellent. Cannot rate this place highly enough.”

“It’s very tranquil, serene and beautiful with a lovely pool The family room was great for us travelling as a family with three young kids The owner was responsive and kind and organised had a really enjoyable safari. Saw lots of elephants, birds and some crocs. The kids also enjoyed the Elephant Transit Home (orphanage nearby). We booked last minute, as we wanted to change to our itinerary include some elephants and some more relaxation and I’m glad we did. Good value for money. The food was very good too. Thank you”

“Simple but clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Great staff”

  • “This is a lovely and interesting hotel and a bit different. We came as a group just for one night. It is in a great location for heading into the park, 20 mins drive from the entrance, and if you do the 3.5 hour morning safari, the hotel will hold breakfast for you until you return. You can also have lunch and dinner at the hotel which it is easiest to do to fit around safaris and the Sri Lankan curries and egg fried rice were excellent.”

  • “Best Place to Stay in eco environmental area. Do not hesitate to stay here.”

  • “We loved the hospitality, the ambiance, the spa. The food was good but can be improved, tough meat and the river fish had too many bones. The staff kindly replaced it with chicken which was good but the hotel could improve on their cuisine. We loved staying on the river, but it does make a lot of noise.”
