“Following is my experience of being deceived at this hotel.
I booked a room here for January 1st to 3rd and pre-paid online. Because my phone was robbed on the first day when I arrived in Tunisia, the police told me to wait. so in the morning of January 3rd, I went to the reception desk and prepaid the accommodation fees for the 4th and 5th, 75 TND in total. It was handled by a woman around 30. I asked her for a receipt, but she didn't give it to me. On the morning of Sunday, January 5th, I came to the reception desk again to prepay the accommodation fees for the 6th and 7th. Then it was handled by a man around 60 years old who charged me 60 TND. I asked him for the receipt again, but he said he couldn't understand English, so I didn't get the payment proof. But on the morning of January 7th, the woman who charged me 75 TND for the first time said that I still owed her two nights' accommodation fees. I told her that I had renewed my accommodation fee twice, each time for 2 days, for a total of 4 days. The first time was when she charged me 75 TND, and the second time was when an old man charged me 60 TND on Sunday when she was not there. She said what I had paid was one night's accommodation each time, so I had only paid for two nights altogether. Right then, two Moroccan tourists who stayed there and had seen me pay for the room came back, I asked them to help me prove it. But I was quite surprised to find out that they had only paid 20 TND per night for staying there. My room was exactly the same as theirs. How come I paid more, and the receptionist still asked for even more? This was absolutely outrageous!! But the woman said that if I still wanted to stay for the 7th, I must pay her an additional 30 TND. I was furious then, so I just left.”
