“For us, this hotel was a delight. A quiet, converted convent in a lovely quiet part of town. The room was clean, large and peaceful; the bathroom was well-appointed. Decorations and appointments in the room were very simple - do not expect 5-star luxury, but cleanliness and simplicity.”
“Okay, Mar love Sea View... don't be fooled by the sea view aspect of the name, yes 3 of the 5 rooms have a sea view but on booking.com when you book this is not made clear. The person on reception was helpful and could see that I had a point when complaining about being missold but when he explained to the owner on the phone I was shown a room with a sea view but at an extra cost of 60 euros.. I declined as the room we had was adequate and no refund was forthcoming as we expressed our wish to change accommodation. I could for less money have stayed on the island of Ortigia in as far as I can see superior accommodation for less money and was only tempted to stay here because of the name and all the pictures of the sea view from the windows of the room.. I Will say Ortigia is where the center of the city is with all the bars restaurants and sights this guest house is about a 15 minute walk to there. I messaged the host through booking.com to express my feeling of being missold but was told that this is what I'd booked and tough compliant to booking.com..
Room was clean and nice bathroom. TV did not work(no arial connection I think) tea making facilities in room included 2 tea bags 2 paper cups and a kettle... Also walls are not well sound proofed so could hear reception noise all the time and some poor person in the night being very ill. Breakfast was served in the entrance way to the building and was nice (continental style). Another couple staying there (in the other room without the sea view) thought it amusing that I made a point of walking round the building to see the very well advertised sea view! I will also point out that the rooms with the "Seaview" were empty for our time of stay..”
“A very special place in a historic Ortigia quarter. Great design for common areas. Contrast between the narrowish streets and buildings and the two level spacious room we got. Disappointment about the inner courtyard as in March it was far from what we can see on these publicity photos.”
“Great place to stay whilst in Siracusa, location is perfect, staff couldn’t be more helpful, lovely breakfast buffet and a perfect view from the terrace.”
“Super kind hotel team. Best breakfast in Sicily (You can order everything as you wish, including the ingredients of your smoothie) and the Spa has everything you need and great treatment around. There was even some whole wheat bread-ish croissant - which is actually not existing on that island. And it was one the lowest plastic places we have found (which is hard in Italy). Best healthy sleep included.”
