Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot value for money. It a bit expensive considering the walking distance from the hotel which is infact atleast 20 minutes walk upto Masjid Haram for the young people. You have to walk uphill as well. There is no shuttle service provided by the hotel. And if you take a taxi , it takes more than 30 minutes to drop you at Haram as it has to take a long route. I don’t know about the bus, may be you have to change twice and that may take hours to reach Haram. I booked this hotel through Booking.Com as I reposed trust in them for years. This time I had a very bad experience as they have profoundly shaken my trust in their platform. So do check other options as well before making your decision with Booking.com. And never give your credit card details to them. The overcharge they have facilitated on my credit card is still disputed as they have refused to refund me the amount in question leaving me to lodge complaint against them on other forums. Now on I will try other platforms for hotel reservations.
Nice and helpful staff. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good.

United KingdomBreakfast wasn’t up to the mark. There was no selection of fruits at all. It would have been better if more attention was paid to the food.

United KingdomThe only issue was taxi. Many taxis refused to take us back to the hotel. The hotel is a 10 minute walk which can be cut short by using the escalators in Anjum Hotel. Taxis cost about 20-25SAR one way. Only white taxis took as back to the hotel, green ones rejected us.
Great Value for money I was very cautious booking the hotel as it is brand new and there were mixed opinions on various websites. However, I decided to give it a chance after being recommended by a family friend. It definitely was exactly what I expected and needed. The breakfast varied each day and is your average breakfast. The pastries were delicious and different juices were available. The timings were 7am-10:30am. The kingsize rooms were MUCH smaller than the twin bedrooms. Our family booked a combination of both. I would highly recommend booking the twin rooms as it is bigger. All rooms had AC and a walk in shower/bathroom. Everything was good condition and clean which is the most important when going for Umrah and in a hot country. The hotel is pristine and there are restaurants right nearby within walking distance. If you are looking for low-cost abayas, there are a line of shops just a 1 min walk to the right of the hotel. I would highly recommend if you are not worried about walking or taking taxis. They also accommodated an early check in and helped us get a big taxi to fit our entire family once our trip came to an end.

United KingdomHotel staff needs to be a bit more proactive in dealing with nonsensical behaviour from other people staying there. We had a family sorting out their luggage in the middle of the corridor right outside out room in the middle of night with kids screaming around! I had to call the reception guy 3 times to come a deal with this as we couldn't sleep. Moreover the guy at reception who is behind the coffee desk was not friendly at all. Even asking if they have change gets a stern no as a reply. Also there are no places for taxis to stop outside hotel as its a main running road so sometimes it gets difficult for drivers to find you. One thing is every night there's an open market that happens right on the road outside your hotel so be ready to walk through this.
Location is good. About 10mins walk to the masjid haram. Initially it's an uphill walk but then flatens as there's a short cut through a nearby hotel. Hotel is new, rooms all clean and comfortable. There's a smart TV in room. Has all basic facilities including mini fridge.

IraqThe room wasn’t big enough for three beds, so there wasn’t enough space to pray. Additionally, the bed sheets weren’t clean, though the staff promptly helped us change them. Surprisingly, the room had a bad odor despite the hotel’s high rating for cleanliness. Other than that, everything was good.

I was given a different room than I booked, but it was an upgrade, so I was really happy with how spacious and clean the room was. Staff were really friendly and professional. When I had a small issue with the sink, they made sure it got fixed within the hour. The location is close to many restaurants and shops, 10-15 min walking distance from the Haram. Breakfast was really good with a variety of food. Over all it's a hotel I can recommend and I will be visiting again.

United KingdomGood value for money. Hotel was clean, customer service was good. Receptionists/concierge spoke English and were helpful. 15 minutes walk to masjid Al haram or 5 minutes taxi ride. We booked two bed room apartment, each room was separate and had own key. The rooms were modern and the beds were new and comfortable. There were shops and restaurants nearby.

United KingdomCould do with sound proofing the doors and some nights you could hear ppl taking in the corridors or outside noise. Alot of sounds of beds being dragged during late nights by room service guys that preparing rooms at silly times.
Hotel and staff were great and 6 to 10 mins walk from harram depending on walking speed. Breakfast was not too bad, was mostly the same breakfast everyday and decent thing was freshly made eggs or omelettes. Would use again if I couldn't get a place closer to harram in future.
