Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe stayed in the honeymoon suite for our 5 year anniversary. From the moment we arrived we knew that we had made the right decision and were made to feel special. The location was spectacular. Situated next to an amazing secluded beach. We were offered many extras as part of our package and the service at the hotel was excellent.

RomaniaWe did feel a musty smell from the air conditioning from time to time. For our few days of stay we did not have any issue because of it. We had a situation there with a guy on the beach selling boat trips. We asked the employees at the beach bar if this guy can be trusted and they said he is ok but maybe a bit expensive. We understood what they meant by expensive only later on because the price asked was actually cheaper than the trips organised by the hotel for example. However, we discovered afterwards that he was trying to scam people all the time, not with the boat trip itself but with the money he is requesting for it, asking for more money on top of the amount agreed initially, saying he needs to borrow it and will give it back. We managed to avoid that but I think it would've been nice to be told by the hotel that it should be better to look for trips somewhere else instead of saying he is ok.
Our stay here exceeded our expectations and we had the most amazing stay out of all our accomodations in Seychelles. The room was very comfortable and clean, we were in the seaside block, had views to beautiful palm trees, the sea and to the pool. Impecable cleaning service was provided every day. The staff was very nice and helpful, everybody here is a professional and are great at doing their jobs. The beach was amazing, this is a very long beach with super fine and incredibly white sand and beautiful water. We were there in stingray season in June so we had to be careful when entering/exiting the water but luckily had no problems. The area is very well mantained, we had no bug issues. They have a nice fitness room with good machines and a nice spa area. They have a bar at the beach with great design. But the most amazing thing for us though was the food at this hotel. They have such an amazing selection for both the breakfast and dinner buffets, we were excited every day to go to their restaurant. Such creative, healthy and delicious dishes to chose from! Congratulations to the team taking care of this! We went to other fancy hotel restaurants in Seychelles too but none reached Le Duc's level! We missed Le Duc's buffet menu all the time!

GermanySea water on Cote de Or beach is Very warm and very flat, due to very fine sand not transparent. During our stay (end of Mai) the beach was quite full of sea-grass, nobody was really cleaning, the beach does not belong to hotel and is public. Seagrass can not be foreseen and depends on wind direction. Our best beach experience we had on Anse-Lazio. Hotel pools are very small and not really inviting. Would be nice to have some atmospheric music in the closed salad buffet area. We have also missed the fresh fruits during the dinner (only some fruit-salad was available). Simple water could be free of charge during the dinner. Small ants in the bathroom upon arrival (it is a general problem on Seychelles, not hotel problem), was immediately removed with Spray.
Great Arrival at Reception, surrounded in tropical plants and great hotel design ! Hotel reception exactly fulfilled our wishes about the room type and even has given us the possibility to check in one hour earlier and check-out one hour later - according to our Ferry timing - thank you for that ! Very nice room decoration upon arrival and for birthday of my wife. Also nice birthday arrangement during the dinner time. Nice dining area deep in tropical vegetation, on Thursday evening there was a nice life music. Buffet breakfast and buffet dinner with variating fine meal selection. Perfect sleeping comfort, thick and comfortable mattress. We had our room in the New Eco Wing, quite far from Beach Cafe les Arts with evening music. Evening Music in Cafe les Arts takes place every Wednezday, Saturday and Monday. To our perception it was not loud, so even having the room at the New Ocean Wing Building which is the closest to the beach should not be a problem. It is recommendable to have a half board at the hotel, because there are not many good options to eat outside. Les Lauriers in the village also have very nice dining area, if anybody prefers take-away-food there is also ATM-Nuovobanq and Take-away place ~5-7 walking minutes away. In Seychelles they always have the sunset at ~18:00, and there are not many options what to do after this time. Perfect excursion options are Vallee-de-Mai (~30€ one way with taxi) or the phantastic Beach of Anse-Lazio (~20 Minutes with Taxi - would never recommend to take a bus there). We did not see any insects or mosquitos on Seychelles, never used the spray. Price for small water or beer during the dinner: 4-5€. Cheapest bottle of wine: ~20€. 2 beach towels free of charge per room per day, sunbeds and fix umbrellas on the beach free of charge if you get one. On Seychelles nobody is using the private beach umbrellas.

United KingdomAmazing boutique hotel which exceeded our expectation and we had such a delightful and well taken care off stay. The staffs are always smiling, efficient and responsive. They managed to help us book a car rental when most websites we went on were fully booked in Praslin. They have beach at your door step with 3 pools, a gym, a cafe, large restaurant, bar, dj (Wed, Fri,sat)and dance floor area. We had their pina colada with local Takamaka dark rum almost every evening. Their cafe des Arts is very cute next to the beach where I love their creamy garlic prawn dishes with rice super yum. They have carpark on site and only 8 mins from Jetty. Easy to get to anywhere of the island with break and dinner included! Large options on the buffet and special dessert room for you.

SlovakiaDrinks at the beach bar a bit overpriced (as it is the case in all beach bars on Seychelles, at least from our experience).
Our expectations were quite high before landing to Seychelles. We moved straight from Mahe to Praslin and everything was great. The best choice was book a halfboard, because nearby there are either too expensive or limited-in-variety options to eat. Actually, we were looking forward to every dinner and cannot tell anything we disliked during our stay (breakfast is also very wide in choice, with some daily extras, very well done). The environment of the hotel is marvellous - as in a garden, pool with a bar also very convenient. The location of the hotel is the best you can have - Anse Volbert, a long beach with heavenly sand, very calm water and shade (if you are not a fan of completely burning yourself in a week) is steps away. I am not a big fan of returning to the same hotels, but Le Duc is one where I could think about it! Best hotel experience in years.
