Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Everything was exceptional. If you book the place, please rent a bycicle, it's a must! :) There's also a mini market across the street. We had a cycles from there for 100 scr per day pp. The wi fi connection in the house was fast (the fastest that we had in the Sey).

FinlandThere are no restaurants right near the accommodation. The bikes we rent from the villa were quite old; the bike chains got stuck while driving which caused us a small accident, fortunately nothing worse. After the first night, the staff kindly asked us if we could change our accommodation from the Superior Suite to the Garden Villa so that they could arrange the stay of their other guests more conveniently. We accepted their offer because we wanted to be polite, but it was a little disappointing because the Superior Suite was in a brand new building and the Garden Villa was older, although it was also nice and clean inside, so that was fine to us. We had ordered a taxi from the hotel manager few days in advance for the day of departure. On the day of departure, however, it turned out that the taxi had not been ordered, but luckily we still had time and were able to order a taxi through a friendly employee, so all turned out just fine eventually.
The hotel is located very close to the famous and picturesque Anse Source d'Argent beach, this was one of our criteria when choosing the hotel. It was also convenient to cycle from the hotel to the beaches on the east side of the island (Grand Anse, Petite Anse and Anse Cocos). There was also a small shop nearby where you could find basic supplies. We had booked a Superior suite which was brand new and was located right next to the swimming pool. The pool was still unfinished and not in use but we already knew it when booking. Communication went well and the day of arrival, we were able to bring our luggage for storage quite early in the morning when we were leaving for a snorkeling trip. The breakfast was good and you could order it flexibly and enjoy it on your room's own terrace at the agreed time.

The room was very spacious, and extremely clean. The air conditioning worked like a charm, and the room was very cool every time we were coming in after our adventures. The hotel had bikes for hire which was very helpful. The hotel is perfectly placed to access most of the main attractions, with a shop across the street. We loved our time here, the staff was very helpful.

South AfricaWe just missed the installation of the pool unfortunately, but we enjoyed everything about our stay.
Clean and comfortable rooms on a beautiful property. Located within a short distance from L'Union Estate and a quick bike ride to all the best restaurants and facilities in the main town area. The staff were incredibly helpful with recommendations on things to do and see on the island and renting a bike through them was super easy. We really enjoyed our stay here!

AustriaOnly breakfast could be a bit bigger. You got tasty fruits , tost bread and only 1 egg to this. Standard is always 2 eggs so in the end this makes all meal much less efficient for adult guy. For woman ok but for 100kg men it is a bit small. But in the end very tasty. No doubts.
Very quiet place few minutes from the center by bike. Shop 200m from there with all staff you need. The best take away in my opinion Rey&Josh also around 7 min with the bike. Clean, calm, looks more like bungalow so you have your small house. Outside the town so you don't here any noise etc. Would go there second time for sure. Staff Ladies are very friendly and helpful.

United StatesThe property is very well located close to Source D’Argent beach. The superior suite was upgraded and very modern. It was spacious and comfortable for our 5 night stay. The property also provided us with bikes (at an extra cost) to get around the island and we learned their rate was a bit cheaper then the typical rental rate on the island so this is a nice touch. The staff was also very friendly and sociable and we enjoyed getting to know them. :)

The room was modern, clean and well equipped.(we had a room at the new built wing) The garden was beautiful. Cleaning to high standards. Kitchen had all you need Inc kettle and a mini fridge Very close to the entrance for Anse Source D'argent. Mini market 2mins walk from hotel The path to the jetty and back was flat (no uphill/downhill) but you still need a taxi to get there if you have suitcases (taxis available at the jetty). Walking to the jetty for dinner etc will take about 25mins or 8mkns with a bike A pool is being built so there is some construction going on, this did not bother us and the pool will be a great addition.

United StatesIt is a little further out, away from places to eat and shops, but this also makes it quieter and there is a little grocery shop right down the road with essentials.
