How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bed was super comfortable, the location is very close to bus stops, only 58 minutes on public transport to the airport (2 changes)

Breakfast was in comparison with other Clarion Hotels only average. We missed fresh salmon, the provision of bowls and pots with new food was not given after 8:30 Sauna was not turned on during opening hours
Very comfortable beds. Amazing view and stylish furniture. Very friendly staff The relax area with yoga equipment was unique

Room always felt a little cold. Adjusting thermostat had no effect. Downstairs dinner menu seemed short.
Room was clean and comfortable. Food service downstairs was good.

Didn't realise roof bar would be closed, front bar was also closed so had to go to the restaurant.
Customer service was amazing, we had a room issue and it was sorted super quickly and we were looked after well! Close by public transport which was good, THE BEDS WERE AMAZING we didn't want to get out of it!

Overcrowded breakfast room during peak time, a bit small premises for the amount of guests. But breakfast itself was great and varied. No big point really.
Great city views. Nice roof top restaurant. Excellent gym and Spa. Nice lobby bar. Decent breakfast. All in all very good value for money.

Bar in ground floor closes already at 10, top floor bar shortly afterwards. Inconvenient for guests working long. Also I saw the girl at ground floor bar arguing with guest while letting other guests wait, overall she's not helpful and just doesn't blend in with the other polite staff. Very unprofessional. Internet is slow and unreliable. Difficult when you have to rely on it for work reasons while it was advertised as fast during the booking.
All clean, appealing.

The heating in the room wasn't working, and the temperature was below 19°C. We went to the reception and they told us they were having issues with the heating system, but they offered us a portable electric heater, which worked well and solved the problem.
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent and diverse. The hotel was clean. The staff was very friendly. There is a ferry that runs from the hotel to the city center.

the location is not so close to the city center but is well connected (bus 5 minutes away)
the hotel is really comfortable, the gym and sauna are super nice and breakfast is amazing! the staff is absolutely amazing, they go above and beyond for you! I got a really nice room a upgrade without even asking for it and they were extremely lovable with my dog ♥️

What a lovely hotel on a fantastic location with the best staff!! Cudos to all reception staff, they are all extremely thoughtful and kind and special kudos to Cookie who welcomed us so warmly and was always up to help guests with a big smile. Installations in the hotel are modern and brand new and our room had a fabulous view to the pier, the room was so comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, well-organized plenty of options and very clean. Id definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly return if I ever come back to Gotenburg again ☺️ This is for sure the best hotel I had stayed in the recent couple of years. Absolutely loved it.

I wish if they had a good bristo menu which I didn't find it worth for the price.
I picked a standard double room and the room was comfy and cozy. We had a good breakfast with lot of varieties. The staff was friendly, especailly there was a guy named Dhanush for room service, who was so efficient and friendly.
