How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There are large windows all around the apartment letting in light but sadly they were very dirty so it spoilt the whole feel of the place.
The apartment is in a peaceful neighbourhood out of the centre of town. The transport system in Gothenburg is brilliant so it was easy to get around. The tram and bus stop is a 8 minute walk away and they are very regular. The apartment itself was clean and well equipped. The nearest supermarket is a 15 minute walk away.

Our stay with Robert was simply perfect. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, the location was excellent, and we had everything we needed. We especially want to highlight Robert’s helpfulness and flexibility – he was always available and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We highly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again.

You need to buy some shampoo and laundry detergent if you are to stay more than 3 days.
The apartment is superb, clean and it really feels like home. My children liked it very much. We had a fantastic week enjoying the Sweden vibes there. I liked the host provided some candles in the living room and put some emphasis on various types of lamps which gave a strong vibe of feeling home. There was a washing machine, a dryer, an iron and a huge fridge- all the commodities.

Everything was excellent. Very good communication about how to enter the apartment, parking etc. Clean apartment with all facilities, new appliances, good and spacious area for both dining and the couch area with tv.

mess outside by the trash cans
communication with the owner of the good, exactly the instructions. new apartment, nicely and functionally furnished, parking right next to the house. tram stop about 10 minutes on foot. the accommodation was great, we really felt at home there.

It was a little far from City Center and having never been to Gothenburg it’s hard to get a mental picture of the distance. We did not have a car, which was great because the traffic is horrendous. We mostly took a bolt, but you can walk to the tram.
This is a big apartment. So bright and cheery!

Property does not have unit number at the door. There r 4 doors at the floor, u need to find your by guessing..!
It was super clean and close to almost everywhere, of course by car.

Everything. Big apartment with all basic essentials. Elevator for children and easy access for disabled. Free private parking. Balcony with a nice view in a quiet area. TV with entertainment. Great choice for those using cars.

We ran out of toilet paper as well as dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent - only 2 toilet rolls, 4 dishwasher tablets and 1 laundry detergent where left for us to use for 4 people for 6 days ;)
The appartment was very nice and clean in a quiet neighbourhood. About ten minutes walk to the bus/tram terminal where you can get easily around the city.

Before booking we asked if bedsheets were washed in perfume free detergent. The host replied Yes. Unfortunately this was not the case and everything smelled a conventional laundry detergent. This made our sleep a bit uncomfortable especially for the baby. The host apologised and said they would change it.
The apartment is very comfortable.
