Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyGreat breakfast buffett with many things to choose from, inclusing self-made waffles + toppings, very attentive and friendly service The pet-friendly room is located directly at the back entrance, with towels for cleaning paws provided and also everything (!) else that you need for your dog, I've never been to a hotel/hostel providing that good service and am very thankful for this warm and practical welcome. Even with fresh water in the water bowl. Very much appreciated by my dog, too :)

BelgiumWonderful hostel that is more like a hotel. Perfect location right by the central station and just a short walk from Umea downtown. The breakfast was always fresh and extensive. I especially enjoyed the warm bread rolls and fresh apple juice. When you have to leave early in the morning, they even provide you with a take-away breakfast bag.

It would have been nice to have a room at the back of the building instead, so we could have slept with the window open for fresh air. Because we didn't see any staff we couldn't ask to change room.

SwitzerlandThe only negative I can think of is that you need to call the staff if you have some issues. For me it wasn't a problem at all, also in the regard that the self check-in worked perfectly.
I really enjoyed the stay at Norrland YMCA! Everything was prepared when I checked in, the room and all the facilities are clean and spacious! The location just next to the main station is practical. The breakfast was exceptionally good; a good and wide range of fresh products! And I could finish without any problem, although I stayed a bit longer than the official breakfast time. Even the price is quite high, I think the price-performance ratio is pretty good.
