Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThis hotel was a great price for the location - walking distance to Gamla Stan or a short ride on the underground. There is a kitchen with cooking facilities and fridges and also the breakfast buffet provided was very nice.

United KingdomThe wifi didn’t work at all, despite being advertised on the booking. When I approached the staff about it, they just laughed and said it’s a common problem at their hostel. My room was located directly across from the kitchen and communal area, which meant constant noise as people walked by. Normally, I wouldn’t mind a bit of noise, as it’s to be expected in a hostel, but this was particularly bad. To make matters worse, the window in my room looked directly into the communal area, and the blinds were broken, offering no privacy. Because of the lack of wifi, the broken blinds, the noise and the constant foot traffic being able to see into my room, I ended up leaving early and booking emergency accommodation elsewhere, which was also much better value for money.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t much I liked about this stay.

SwedenThe room was in the basement, dark, suffocating, without window. There was a pillar in the middle of the room. Got a twin room but couldn't unfortunately keep the beds side by side. I had a one year old daughter with me so unfortunately had to check out within a few hours
Almost nothing

TurkeyThe room was extremely cold, although the lobby and the rest of the hotel was really hot. It was 4 degrees outside and the ventilation in the room kept blowing cold air! When we complained about that, the staff came to the room and said there was nothing to do! We stayed at the same hotel 7 years ago. Back then, the staff was nice... I think the management had changed or something. Don't be tempted by the price and stay at somewhere else if you don't want to get cold during winter.

LatviaThe size of room in the basement was too small for two adult people. There were quite a lot of long hair on the floor. Very old and small TV. Insulation of the walls is bad. We could hear all from behind it, especially when people start walking through corridors to public showers and toilets during night and early morning. So if you want or plan to sleep until 08-09 am then it will be difficult. Breakfast wasn't the best. Every morning there were only boiled aggs and cold cuts. No fried or scrambled eggs. Almost no fruits. Conclusion: If your plan is to go out at 7am and come back to your room at very late pm and straight to bed then it should be fine.
Location of hostel is good. All personnel was very helpful and friendly

LithuaniaThe hostel is conveniently located, 15-20 minutes to the old town. Really good tasty breakfasts, friendly staff. You can use kitchen. You can sit at tables throughout the day and until late at night. The rooms have no windows, but the ventilation works perfectly. The water in the shower was always hot. If you're looking for a hostel in the centre it's excellent.

SlovakiaThe accommodation was average. For that price it was the best we could find. The hostel is almost in the center of the city. Everything you need is relatively close. The only problem is that the rooms do not have a window, so it will disturb your regime a little. But otherwise our apartment was perfect. Breakfast was nothing extra. But otherwise everything was fine, we were satisfied. We would love to stay here again.

IndiaThere were significant challenges during my stay. First, the rooms lack windows, including in the bathroom, which I missed in the description—though I take responsibility for not noticing. This absence of windows made me anxious about fire safety. Additionally, there was no Wi-Fi in the room, which was inconvenient as I rely on it to unwind after a long day. I had to go to the reception area to get online, which was frustrating. Most troubling was discovering bed bugs in my bed. Although the staff addressed the issue by the second day, it was quite unsettling. Given these issues, I would likely not return, despite the hotel's good location and reasonable price.
The positives are the staff is very kind and helpful. They tried their best to help me with my complaints. The breakfast was good and had a decent spread.

United KingdomFrustrating to be 2 doors away from the male toilets, with the female on the complete other side of the building, but this was stated in the advert. Kitchen opening times were understandable but frustrating with the popularity of the Hostel, we missed an opportunity to even have access
Comfy beds, great location and the breakfast was substantial, even if you arrived towards the end of the service period. Good value for money for a city centre
