How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We heard something like running water noise most of the time in our room. Since we stayed in the room without a window, it felt a little bit cramped.
The location is great, only a few minutes from the Bugis MRT. The bed is comfy. There are lot of restaurants and shops nearby.

Shame about rooms without windows but it was clearly stated as such when we booked . Just a little off putting when you are not used to it . Having said that the room air conditioning worked very well .
Great location . Simple but very good breakfast . Some places make a great show of their breakfasts but at the Park View it was simpler with less choices but none the less tasty and more than adequate . Beds very comfortable and the shower / hot water was great . Finally all the staff we dealt with were very friendly , hospitable and helpful .

Grab and taxi drivers do not like to pick up from hotel because there is a bus stop right in front. Also, it seems cars are not to on a main street (Beach Road). As such we have to wait behind the hotel but for some strange reason Grab drivers don't want to pick up there. We had 2 drivers cancel out on us once they realised that they need to go to the back lane for pick-up. It's not the hotel's fault of course but ride hail drivers should know how they should approach pick-ups from this hotel.
Room was smallish but enough for 2 people. Bed was comfy and towels were nice to use. All amenities were supplied. Window looks into big construction across the road but could not hear any noise. Location is superb with a choice of MRT stations to choose. Breakfast was included and sufficient to keep us energized for a big sightseeing day ahead. Many cafes and restaurants within 2 mins walk from hotel so you wont be hungry at all. Staff were superb. Breakfast room was small but staff very attentive and tables were cleaned immediately. No waiting was required.

I didn't like that there was no window to my room. However, I spent the majority of my visit going out and exploring the town and sight-seeing. Breakfast options were very limited with some strange combinations of food options to choose from. What was there good enough
The location was excellent to all the places I wanted to look at. Close to shopping, food and entertainment was a huge bonus.

The hallways are narrow and there were some minor plumbing issues (dripping sounds).
It’s location and proximity to many restaurants, shops and the train station. The room was small but clean and the beds were comfortable and bathroom was ok. The front desk staff are also friendly and helpful.

Excellent location, walking distance to a lot of main attractions and restaurants, or an easy taxi/grab ride or bus ride to wherever you need to go! Friendly staff greeting us every time we saw them, and clean and comfortable rooms!
