Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomPerhaps a coffee pod machine in the room would be a nice touch.
Straightforward checkin. Comfy bed, clean room. Friendly staff who were happy to store our baggage until we needed to depart for the airport. Great location! The whole hotel is clean and tidy and also smells so nice. It’s a small boutique hotel with character rather than a generic hotel where you could be anywhere in the world.

AustraliaThe wifi was a bit difficult to work with, and the walls were thin, but there wasn’t that many issues arising from that.
Great shower pressure, larger than we though and just a really good overall vibe.

VietnamNothing! Just remember it is Singapore and an urban city hotel.
The location of the hotel is perfect. You are 5 min walking away from Haji Lane and the middle-eastern part of the city. Such a buzzing and fun area to walk around especially at night. The rooms are clean and have a good size for a city hotel, especially the bathroom and shower were surprisingly large. We found the beds very comfortable and had a great weekend.

NetherlandsPlace was fine
What you see is what you get. Singapore is expensive but this is good value for money anyway. The room was spacious and clean and it is in a great location within walking distance of Haji Lane for example. We stayed here just one night and it was fine. You pay less than other places, so expect accordingly as no view for example.

SingaporePeople in room above me were noisy. Dragging furniture and sounded like they were stomping. But as my stay was only for 01 night, I didn't bother bringing it to any staff member's attention.
Location and heritage feel of the place. The hotel was very nicely laid out with extremely tasteful decor.

AustraliaUnfortunately, our door lock malfunctioned and we were locked out of our room. It took about 8 hours for it to be opened, which was a shame because we weren't able to get our gear out after breakfast for exploring. We were compensated a decent amount of our room fee however, so I have tried not to let it colour this review too much.
We stayed in the Deluxe Double, and the room was really nice and quite pretty. The buildings themselves are interesting, and we made use of the washing room ($12SGD). The location in Kampong Glam was great, I can really recommend the area as your place to base yourself while exploring Singapore. There are three somewhat close metro stations, and we took the CW2 from Johor Bahru to the nearby Queen Street bus stop.

AustraliaRoom 131 had such a small bathroom that it was difficult to squeeze in and out around the door. Shower in poor condition. A quiet room with no street noise but should not be rented until bathroom fixed up.
Historic building in Kampong Glam which is a vibrant and interesting part of Singapore. Staff very pleasant. Rooms small and mostly ok.

CanadaEnjoyed the layout of the duplex suite/loft which was unique and quite spacious. The stairs to the second floor was steep like a ladder and can be a challenge to certain individuals, especially when the only phone is located next to the bed on the second floor. The room can be a little noisy as you can hear the traffic noise and delightful birds outside, but this did not bother us much.
The room was clean especially the bathroom. The hotel is located in a central area within walking distance to two MRT lines that can easily access downtown and hawker centres to the east. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided us with great service.

United Kingdom- Bit of mould in shower stall (wall and grout) probably due to fact that there wasn’t an extractor fan in the bathroom. - We left our suitcase at the hotel after we checked out as our flight wasn’t till later- it didn’t feel very secure as it seems like anyone could walk by and grab it.
Great location, very accessible, good AC in room with complementary drinks in fridge, very good water pressure and temperature (if anything the water pressure was so strong we only turned the shower on half way!)
