for this particular stay I needed to cancel however I did stay for one night later in my trip and already wrote a review but happy to emphasize once again how much I love this hotel and it's the only place I would stay for future visits to Singapore! I love the neighborhood; great public transport options, staff is lovely and accommodating and a beautifully designed facility. Especially for the price, look no further

There was an alarm that went off for hours in the early hours of the morning one evening that really disrupted our sleep. They had called a technician to fix the alarm fault, but the technician wasn't there for hours. However after complaining, they did give us 50% off our final night, which was a nice gesture.

The hotel is full of character. The location is good - interesting neighbourhood and easy to get around. Lots of places to eat and explore nearby. Would stay here again. The shower was amazing. It was like a waterfall - the best shower we've had!

The room for 2 was very cramped and made moving around and using the toilet etc very difficult; no gym or swimming pool was not helpful

The location is good once you figure out the bus routes; the staff were excellent; the outdoor seating areas are useful and the bar with its balcony is excellent

The walls were a bit thin you could hear almost everything but it was manageable was there wasn't a lot of noise outside.

Everything was really clean, the room was as pictured. The staff super friendly!

The room was tiny - it was long and thin and there was no storage or places to put cases etc. The bed was a platform bed, so it was essentially a mattress on the ground which was not ideal if you had trouble getting up. Also, one side of the bed was more or less enclosed on three sides, so if there are two of you in the bed, one person has to essentially crawl over the other to get out.

The location for us was excellent - very close to plenty of restaurants, shops, buses and the MRT.

There wasn't anything to fault, it was all to my liking.

Great old-world charm to the property. It has a relaxed, resort feel despite just being a hotel. I liked the artwork and old colonial features and architecture. The rooms are relaxed and comfortable with a good layout.

No breakfast - that used to be part of the booking. Perhaps lack of a fitness centre too.

I’ve stayed several times in this property and it always meets the mark. The facilities are good and location is excellent.

Housekeeping is an option offered only for 3+ nights - we stayed for 2 so we didn't get that option. However it was a not a deal breaker per se. The hot water was good for one shower but another one after would mean somewhat lukewarm water. Again, not a deal breaker since cold showers are quite nice in Singapore weather.

When we first booked it, we were concerned that the room would be much smaller than pictured (also because space seemed scarce in most Singapore options). We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was despite being compact in style. The staff was excellent and informed us about everything we would need. Location is the best part, it is located in the Kampong Glam area which is one of the best places to stay in Singapore. Even our taxi driver complimented us for choosing that area! Beds were very comfortable as well.

Such a lovely restored building in the middle of Kampong Glam. The rooms are beautifully designed. Our room was quite small and I might pay to upgrade next time but even the small room was well designed and super comfortable. The staff was so helpful and the neighborhood is great - full or character and diversity. Plenty to eat and drink and walking distance to lots of public transport options. Will definitely stay again when I return.
